Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi, Tracy! Just wanted to stop by to see how you're feeling, sweetie. So glad you are doing a bit better, and what a relief on the successful negotiation on the hospital bill! :thumbsup2
I hope that the coming weekend gives you a chance to rest and re-charge! Sending you a huge :hug:

Hi Tracy,

I am glad that you are feeling better. Just don't push yourself too hard too fast. Listen to your body. If it needs rest, then rest. Ok, lecture over.

Goals for October are a great idea. You are very goal oriented, so go for it. Just remember that a goal needs to be obtainable.;) Ok, Ok,, I said lecture over.

Good luck with the eBaying.

Take care,
Beth

HI Tracy! Just checkin in! Hope all is well!!! How are you feeling? How's the party planning? Any Oct goals yet??? :)

Stacie

Thanks everyone for stopping by! :grouphug: It's so nice to come here and read your words of support and encouragement. :grouphug:

I think some major frustration is setting in for me because I have been less than 100% for awhile now. I've been trying to take it easy, but my body seems programmed not to sometimes. :confused3

Today is going to be a busy day. We will be garage sale-ing in the morning, going to lunch with DH's family for his grandma's birthday, and then DD6 has her soccer game under the lights tonight. Tomorrow we have DD5's soccer game and that's all we have planned for the weekend.

I'd like to ask for your prayers for my DH. My DH owns his own business and has been working extremely hard over the past 5 years to make it successful. There have been many bumps in the road, but God has helped us through. He has been discouraged this week as someone he knows received a big contract without trying and is flaunting it around my DH. My DH is not a jealous person, but when you compare the two people, my DH has put in about 1,000,000 times more effort than this other person has and is frustrated about the work situation.( By the way, my DH did NOT bid on the project, but did offer to work on the project as work is slow for him. Instead, the other person hired someone else. ) We'll be spending some time with this person today so it may be kind of rough. Please pray that God would bless the work of my DH's hands and that his work would be plentiful and fruitful. Please also pray that frustration and discouragement would be replace with gratitude and peace. Thank you! :grouphug:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

Hi, Tracy.:wave2: Thank you so much for the encouragement in my journal. I need all the support I can get, especially right now, so I greatly appreciate the time and effort you take to post JUST FOR ME!!!

Anyway, I went back and read your journal from the beginning and I am SO IMPRESSED that you have NEVER given up, even when you had multiple obstacles and problems in your way. It's so hard to do what is healthy when you don't see results on the scale the way you think you should, and I admire you for continuing to keep going with a healther lifestyle when it would be so much easier to give up. THANK YOU for providing such a great example!

I can also relate to your financial issues. We have had more than our share at my house in times past and I always worried incessantly over money (or more accurately, the lack thereof). I finally learned that we always manage to survive no matter what, and now I am beginning to not be so anxiety-ridden over the money (although it has taken me years to get there). So please try not to stress any more than you can help over that - it will all work out in time!

Thanks again for your support - hope you have a great weekend!

Susan

Hi Tracy :wave:

I hope you get to feeling better soon...not being 100% for so long can certainly take its toll...best wishes for a complete recovery!

And I hope everything works out with your DH's business....I understand how frustrating all of that can be.

Hang in there and try to have a good weekend :goodvibes:

Wow, with friends/acquaintences like that, who needs enemies?:confused: . That is a shame that person did that to your husband, its no wonder he is a bit frustrated. I do firmly believe however, playing life above board and with integrity pays in the end. Blessing will heap themselves on his business and I will sure keep him (and you) in my prayers! I hope today went okay and this person was not too obnoxious. Sometimes you just have to wonder...

I hope you start to feel 100% soon. You have hung in there and you need some feel good time! Just keep hanging in there, you can do it! And I hope both dd's have great soccer games this weekend and that mom and dad get some time to relax and enjoy!

:hug: Have a good one Wish Sis!

:hug: Tracy,

I hope that today turned out better than expected. Did DD love playing undeer the lights?

A low key weekend sounds like what your family needs right now.

Prayers sent.
:hug:

Hi Tracy
I think everything happens for a reason & whatever it may be your DH was not ment to do that job.
Hope you have a relaxing weekend & get back to 100% soon :)

Thanks everyone for stopping by. I really appreciate your encouragement and support.:hug:

The weekend has been good so far. My DD6 was named player of the game last night and was awarded the game ball. We are so proud of her!:cheer2: DD5 had her game this morning and did well, but got tired in the heat and humidity rather quickly.

Right now, my DH is trying to fix my mom's car yet again. :( He has replaced the water pump and thermostat and the darn thing is still over heating. He's going to try and flush the radiator again and then he may have to replace the heating coil. I'm hoping the car is fixed soon. It would be so nice to have a brand new car where we wouldn't have to make repairs.:cloud9:

I've thought a little bit about my October goals and right now, I don't think I am going to make any. I still need to recover from being sick and my DH will be super busy so I may not have much time to exercise. I will try and eat right and not late at night, but for the month of October, I think I will just "be".

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement about my DH's job. We are trying to let go and move on, but it will be a process I'm sure.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

Hey Tracy---sorry to hear you are still not feeling 100%...I know how frustrating that can be, so please take it easy and get better soon.

Sorry to hear about your DH's job situation, I can only imagine how hard that must be for you. I hope all works out with that!

Keep up the good work, and you will do great!!!!

Hi, Tracy. Sorry about your DH's frustration over the job. Try to remember that this only means there is something much better coming his way - he just doesn't know it yet!

I think taking a month "off," so to speak, is a good idea. You have been very stressed for a long time, and that can contribute to illness and long recovery time from it. Maybe the best thing to do is to just "be," as you said, until your body is strong again and you are in a better physical and mental place to "fight the good fight" for weight loss once more.

Take care of yourself and your family - and hope you guys have a great day!

Susan

Hi Tracy
yay for dd6 :) that must have been great for her :)
Dont worry about goals like you said its more important to concentrate on getting well right now.
Take care
(hope the car gets fixed)

Tracy, that is awesome your dd got player of the week, gotta love it when that happens! So sorry about the car woes, new cars are nice but the payments stink! Cars in general stink and are a pain in the rear. Hope your dh can get it fixed very soon.

I think just "being" for October is very wise! Sometimes goals can be counter productive. Being realistic is sometimes hard to do and when you are, it really pays off!

Just keep hanging in there, I know you can do it!

Hey there! That is great about DD!!! I bet you guys are soo proud! Sorry to hear about what happened to DH and his job! It will all work out in the end!

Hope you are back to 100% soon!

Stacie

Thanks everyone for stopping by.:grouphug:

I woke up feeling very tired this morning. :( I don't have a whole lot of motivation to get things done today so I'll keep my to do list short:

* Homeschool

* Laundry (1 load)

* Read

* Take a walk

I may throw taking a nap in there as well.....;)

My DH was supposed to be off today and got a frantic call from one of his contractors this morning asking if he can work. It's a 2.5 hour drive down there and no one has any idea why the phone system is down. He also has another job he can do while down there so hopefully, he'll get both done in a timely manner.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy!

Were youable to get a nap in today? I hope so!

Just checkin in to say hello---hope you had a great day

Hey Tracy---I hope you were able to get that nap in today!!! Some days we just need to take it easy and recharge, especially after a hectic weekend!!

Hope you had a great day!
