There doesn't seem to be any exclusions so you can use it on Harry Potter and/or Star Wars lego sets. They also have free shipping for orders over $75.
I grabbed a couple Alien sets and a bunch of minfigures for my dses stockings.

I was thinking about getting Diagon Alley myself...wasn't sure if I'd see a better price than this. Plus, since the last movie will probably come out on DVD close to Christmas that might make these hard to find as the holidays get closer.

This is mixed deal for HP legos. Amazon has Hogwarts Castle (the bigger one) for $127 with no tax. Better deal than $149 - $25 with tax at TRU. However, Diagon Alley is $149 at both places. I can't afford any of them at any price right now, lol. The kids and I will have to be content with the Burrows & Hagrids Hut we already own

I'm new to buying Lego, so is this a good deal? I'm looking at buying a very large set for my 9 year old DD so I would be saving $25. Is this the best deal I'll probably get or should I wait till closer to Christmas? The particular set I'm looking at never seems to be in the stores. Does Amazon ever have sales on the Lego sets? Hard to tell without knowing what set you are talking about it. For some sets, it's a good deal, for others it's not.

Buying big lego sets are in general very hard to find on sale at this sort of free shipping and price break. If you can find the large set you want now, I'd get it.
