Take the 4 Runner all the way. Toyota makes a much better vehicle than Chevy in the first place, but the resale value of the Toyota makes this a no-brainer.
We chose the Honda, but I can tell you the 4-Runner was on our top five list (actually, top three) and the Chevy was in the top ten (around #8, I think.)
We had a 1999 4-Runner. It was nice, but hated the way that it handled. It was especialy difficult handling if you were going around a curve or making a turn and hit a bump at the same time.

I'm so sorry to hear that. We were extra carefull going around curves and making turns. Ours was leased and we turned it in a little more than 1 year early (luckily without any fees).
