Toy Story Strategy?? How should I approach this??

I would love to hear from you veterans about how to approach riding the new Toy Story Ride. We will be staying on property. There are two early mornings and one late night while we are there. (May 27 - June 2) It sounds like the ride will be operating intermittently, will CM's know when it will be up and running or do we just have to check frequently? Do they typically fire up the fast pass machine as they are bringing new rides on line? I would love to see the ride, but don't want to get my hopes up too much. Any advice is appreciated.

From what I heard doesn't the ride open May 31st. I also heard that there is fast pass. So with that said I would go in early entry and grab fastapss. You then can return anytime later that day.
