We liked the pizza and it was a fun place, we went upstairs to keep the kids away from the arcade. We are planning on eating there again this year.

Wondering if it is a "must see" for my DS4 or not.

Only if you want to run around after him dropping $20 into arcade games!!

My DS7 absolutely LOVED Toy Story Pizza Planet. I gave him a limit of $5 in quarters or we would have been there all day. Our last day of the trip I said he could pick any park he wanted - all he wanted was the arcade at TSPP! UGH! I said fine we go to MGM but he only gets $2 in the arcade this time. It was not pretty trying to leave there. We actually did not like the food at all, I guess it depends on what part of the country you're from & what you are used to as pizza. It reminded us of frozen pizza, and I did not care for the salad either. The 1st day we were there it was fairly empty & very clean, the 2nd day it was crowded, super loud & extremely dirty. A lot of that is the fault of guests who leave their tables piled high with trays & filth. I always thought you were to pick up after yourself at a counter service, maybe not.

You asked about the size - it's really large in there. The 1st floor is the food ordering area, all the arcade/video games, and a few tables. Upstairs are lots of tables & maybe 2 arcade games. There is also outdoor seating. There are restrooms on both levels.

We've only been once, but found it very loud, chaotic and not a restful place to take a break from the theme park. Also, the pizza was much worse than the frozen pizzas I fix when our lives get hectic. If it was at least as good as frozen, I would have been satisfied (I don't expect too much from CS). Also, the CM taking our order was rude and indifferent. Sorry for the negative review, but thought I would give my honest opinion. Unfortunately, I think DS is lacking a good CS option. When we're on the DDP we usually end up using 2 TS credits on our DS day.

Actually these reviews were great for me. I had not realized the arcade was attached. I can totally empathize about what it would be like to drag (and I'm certain it would come to this) him kicking and screaming out of there. No thank you. The beautiful think about it being his first time is that I can avoid places like this all together! :woohoo:

Humm... now I'm on the fence about DHS as a whole. Only thing I was really taking him for was Playhouse Disney. Maybe our two full days at Disney could be better spent at another park - or at the pool for that matter.

We didn't particularly enjoy Pizza Planet...especially the attached arcade. There is no way to eat there without your child begging to play and then it is very hard to leave.

On the other hand, we loved HS. We just returned from our first WDW vacation, and based on what I read thought HS would be our least favorite park. I only planned to be there a half of a day. We ended up going back for another part of a day. I am not sure how old your son is, but our daughter is almost four. She loved Playhouse Disney, Beauty and the Beast, Muppets 3D, Fantasmic, Lights/Motors/Action, the parade, and Voyage of Little Mermaid. We had a lot of character interaction at this park (Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, Jo Jo/Goliath, Toy Story, etc).

In my opinion, the worst part of HS is the food. We did Pizza Planet because we were on the DDP and needed to use a CS. Next time we will try Studio Catering or Backlot Express. Otherwise, I think Hollywood and Vine (character meal) or Sci-Fi Drive-In look like they would be fun.

We had a great time at HS. If your schedule allows, go a for at least part of a day! :)

I would try AK instead if that is the only thing you would want to see there. AK is fun for smaller children and there is a lot for them to do there. If you haven't been, you will love to see his reactions to it.

I agree 100%... if you are confused as to where to spend your time... DHS would be last on the list... AK is a great park for a family.... That is my kids my favorite park! Tusker House is great breakfast for kids!

We went there in 2004, and our overall reaction to the restaurant was "ehh..." It was loud and crowded, and unsupervised children were running around like crazy. I know I shouldn't really be commenting on this thread since I've only been there 4 years ago, but I doubt much has changed.

We took our DS when he was 4, and then 5, and then 6. He really likes it. It's quite similar to a Chuck. E. Cheese, just like in the movie. The sizes of the individual pizza meals are large enough to share.

We went in October of 2007, and I agree with the PP that the pizza wasn't even as good as frozen Jack's or Tombstone pizza's. I'd gladly take a personal Jack's pizza over what we got at Pizza Planet. We were a large group and everyone ordered something different. After small samples of the pizzas we threw our pizza into the garbage and just ate the salads.

My DS's (4 and 2) wouldn't even eat the pizza, and they pretty much love anything with cheese on it.

The pizza here is the same pizza that you would get at Pizzafari at the Animal Kingdom. I think it's actually fairly good for "fast food" pizza. Pizza Planet is basically and arcade with tables upstairs to eat. My kids rushed through their lunch so they could play - which means I had to rush through mine as well.

I agree with your discription of the pizza... we never went inside when we ate there.... there are tables in a court yard (very nice, quiet area of the park)... we ate out there... it was a nice, relaxing 30 minutes.... our kids never saw the arcade.... we did the dining plan... each got a salad, small pizza, and I think we had Mickey Ears or brownie for dessert (can't remember for sure)... but the arcade was not an issue... we did not point it out and thank goodness they did not notice it!
