Toy Story Parade

I believe they use to have a Toy Story parade at MGM, I think back in like 96 or 97, I remember seeing it, I have lots of photos of it too. I don't know if they still have this parade or not, the parade I am talking about was all Toy Story. :)

The Toy Story parade ran in 1996. It was replaced in 1997 by Hercules, which was replaced in 1998 by Mulan, which ended in 2001.

It's not running any more. :guilty: I saw it in 1995. It's a shame it closed to because it was so, so great. Everyone loved it!!! I mean who doesn't like Toy Story! Hercules was just ok. I didn't last long at all. Mulan was better then Hercules, but it wasn't as good as the Toy Story parade.

I was there in 97 on easter but unfortunately I didnt saw the parade beacuse we were ridding Star Tours, the only thing we saw was the green confetti on the street. I would love to se the green army men. Also in 2003 could see well the parade beacuse we spent a lot of time eating and when we got there it was packed so we had to be under the sorcerers hat which is not a good spot to watch it.

We were at WDW in April 1996 when the Toy Story parade ran at MGM. We hadn't seen the movie yet, and it was a hot day, so we didn't see the parade. After finally seeing the movie 2 months later at a 2nd run theater, I was REALLY regretting that we hadn't seen the parade when we had the opportunity.

Yes, the Toy Story parade was awesome, I took a ton of photos of it, just had them out the other day. I just couldnt' remember if it was 96 or 97 because we were down both years. :)

Quite frankly i'm tired of stars and motorcars...

I kind of have to agree, I mean it is a good parade and all, but I think it is time for a change. :)

The Toy Story Parade debuted at MGM Studios in late 1995 around the time of the original release of the film. It ran until 1997 when it was replaced by the Hercules Zero to Hero Victory Parade. Since then some of the floats have been reused and recycled. Woody's float was used for a show/ meet-and-greet in the late 1990s called Opperation Toy Story. Parts of Buzz's float have been in the Pizza Planet/ Al's Toy Barn area for years. When I was there in the Summer, Buzz was doing meet-and-greets in front of it.
