Looks like TSMM will be closed for longer than expected.... Via imagineer183 twitter account.

"The reopening of TSMM will be delayed for an unknown time. Apparently contractors measure the gates off by 1/16 of an inch."

I hope it is open when i am there on October 21-29! Or I may cry!:sad1::sad1:

NO NO NO NO NO!!!! :headache: This was my FAVORITE ride in WDW and couldn't WAIT to ride it in DL!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you have got be kidding me, orginally we were going oct 9 then pushed it to the 15th so TSMM would be open and now.....:sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

It's not updated on the park calendar but I imagine if they JUST found out it would take time to update that park calendar...

I really hope it's open in time for 23 - 30 October :headache:

Oh, that sucks! The two rides I was looking forward to taking my kids (especially my nephew) on were Star Tours and Toy Story, now I've lost them both:headache:

That really sucks! My little guy really wanted to to go on that ride!

this is starting to get aggravating. So now for our first trip to Disneyland in mid October we are looking at closures of TSMM, Star Tours, Mulholland Madness, Maliboomer, Roger Rabbit...if I could get a refund on my plane tix/ rental car through priceline I probably would have just canceled and gone back to WDW.

I knew about Star Tours when I booked and I knew that it was off season and that possibly another attraction or two would be down but 5?

I'm sure we will still have a great time but from others reporting about how DCA is starting to look like a construction zone i am afraid I won't get the full experience...oh well, i am done my rant now.

Its hard not to be disappointed - even though we all know the reality of closures (rehab/makeovers, etc..). I was so looking forward to our kids seeing IASW for Christmas and my son was beyond excited about Roger Rabbit - both down the week we're there. We're WDW folks - this is a once every 10 year trip and its really bummed me.

I know we'll have a great time, but still sad. As for TSM - I hope its back up soon!

I always get bummed when I see people plan trips during offseason but hoping for limited ride and show closures. Yes, it is a bummer. I hope more people who go on an occasional trips to DLR (once every 10 years) will more strongly consider high season. While more crowded it has less potential for disappointment.

Star Tours and Mulholland Madness going down has been known for 6-12 months. IASW goes down in late October every year. So that is also known. What is new here is RR and TSMM.

I hope you both still have great trips! :wizard:

For others considering trips in the future, it is always a good idea to get a really good handle on the trade-offs as you are choosing dates. :)

^This.

I feel like I'm fortunate, as a student, that I can only go during "busy times", so I have gotten used to the crowds and I know how to handle them. DLR is definitely doable and you can still get a ton of stuff done during crowded times. However, I do recognize that some people do hate crowds. It's an unfortunate trade-off.

We will be there until October 8th and I was crossing my fingers that it would open back up a few days early so we could get to ride it this trip, (it's my DH's favorite ride), I guess there's no hope of that now. :confused3 With three kids though I would still rather sacrafice a few ride closures to crowds and I wont let it ruin my trip, I'm still very excited! Tomorrow we will be in SINGLE DIGITS!! :cool1:
