DH and I both got terribly sick on Star Tours last time. Neither of us get motion sick, we weren't to hot or dehydrated or hungry. So no clue why. I also get queasy at IMAX movies. Because of these things, I was very worried that the combo of 3D and motion would make me sick, and i'd really hate to ruin some kids day by puking on him. But i'd also hate to miss out on a great ride based on one of our favorite movies for no reason. So anyone with motion problems or imax problems, how did you handle Toy Story Mania? Anyone that doesn't have problems get sick on this one?

My hubby gets motion sickness VERY easily. He won't go on any of the mountains (except Splash) or anything that spins, etc., so he misses out on a lot of the rides at DLR. The first time he went on TSMM he was not feeling well for a few minutes, but was fine soon after. He has been on it since and has been fine.

I get sick easily. I suggest taking Bonine in the morning before leaving the hotel.

I ALWAYS get sick on Star Tours. I'm not usually a motion sick person, I never go right after I eat... I just get so sick feeling. HOWEVER, I have never felt that way on Toy Story. I think Star Tours needs to be updated.

DH, who is very pukey when it comes to motion, says the sudden movement when the car whips around makes him a bit a green for a moment, but it is nothing like Star Tours where the whole this is unsettling. So, take a dramamine and have fun! TSMM is way too cool to miss!

Personally I cannot do Star Tours because I feel very sick afterwards. TSMM is nothing like it.

Interestingly, DS13 gets affected by the 3D effects and 3D glasses. At both WDW and DLR we rode TSMM (10-12 times altogether) and he comes off with a headache. He still loves the ride.

I also got very, very sick on Star Tours...I had to cover my eyes the entire time, and Soaring bothered me somewhat. So generally, motion sickness tends to be a real problem for me. That said, I had no problem at all with Toy Story Mania. In fact, I loved that ride so much that would we come off the ride and get right back in line. We rode as many times as we could during our 3-day visit. I don't think you will have a problem. By the way, I am 62.

The very last part of Soarin when it goes to night time, they speed up the video but things are still a little outta sync! :crazy2:

I get sick on Star Tours, never had a problem on TSMM, even riding it twice in a row no problems. :) You should be fine.

At TSMM, the car stops at each 3 D screen, so there is not the sense of motion with the visual effects.

well, it spins too much at the beginning... its as if they are doing that on purpose!!!

The kids and I take generic medication called meclazine, I got a bottle at the pharmacy just a few days ago, I believe it was around $5 for a 100 count bottle. We (all of us) take it everyday when we are on vacation, cuts down on car sickness and any kind of motion sickness when we are at the parks...its great for road trips as well.

I get motion sickness very easily. I've found that the easiest thing to do is take some long lasting Gravol before going to the parks, and have no motion sickness no matter how crazy the ride (the teacups are enough to make me green for the remainder of the day!).
