Sorry if this info is listed somewhere else but I can't find it. I also have the Unofficial Guide to DL (2008) but it does not have details as it was a new ride at that time.
What is the basic premise of the ride and is there height restrictions? Is it appropriate for DD6 and DS4?
Just want to know if I should put it in our "plan".

No height restrictions, awesome ride. 3-D glasses are worn, and you do a bunch of midway/boardwalk style games. Ring toss, balloon darts, that sort of thing. You have a controller with a pull string (you don't have ot pull it all the way out, but you DO have to let it go all the way back in) and it's just great fun. Sort of Buzz-style but we feel it's much better.

If there are two adults with your two kids, it's best, b/c that way everyone can play, since there are just two seats and controllers.

Get there early, or be prepared to wait...if it's hot outside it will be hot (of course), but other than that we find it to be a pleasant and tricky line...well done, hidden, switchbacks. :)

Oh yes Yes YES. They'll LOVE it and so will you. We went last November and it seemed to be the most popular ride at DCA. My kids were 6 and 8 and couldn't get enough of it, not could dh and I. They would have gone on it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again (you get the picture)

Just to sum this up in two words:

It's addicting! :thumbsup2

and everyone in the family will love it. Only problem is that since everyone in your family will love it, same goes for every other family and they will all be wanting to ride it over and over and over also = long lines starting in the morning and lasting all day. Best bet is to go first thing at 10 when DCA opens or wait until the line dies down 10-15 min (to 25-30 min) in the late afternoon.

My DS (who just turned 4) loves this ride and he doesn't even know how to play the games yet! :rotfl: He likes the way the ride whips you around to each game area. So even if your 4yo doesn't know how to do the games he'll probably still think it's a lot of fun.

3-D glasses?? oh, very cool! :3dglasses I didn't know that. My 3 year old loves Toy Story. I bet this ride is a hit!

You found a thread that is almost 9 months old. TSMM is a VERY popular attraction at DCA. In fact, Disney is going to be adding new games to the mix that is already there - and has been so wildly popular since it opened.

TSMM is a great experience!

Just saw the pics of this ride, and I'm wondering if they will let myself, DH, and our 2yr old ride in 1 car? Or does one of us have to sit out :sad1:
If that's the case our son will just have to wait for us to finish :rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure you can all three ride in one car. Just know that there are only 2 shooters, so be careful of your 2 year old taking over all the fun. :rotfl:

It is very addictive. The 3-D is only one fun element of it. Also, as you make your way through the outdoor portion of the line, you pass a giant Mr. Potato Head who talks to people as they walk by. He addresses some folks individually ("Hey...you in the yellow shirt!" and that sort of thing).

Then, when you get to the indoor portion of the line, you pass all these colorful signs/posters along the queue with pictures of different Toy Story characters and of the games you will be playing inside the ride.

When you actually get on the ride, you have your 3-D glasses on. You start wildly shooting at things. If you are like most of us, you adopt a fierce look of determination in an effort to destroy your opponent as you whack those targets!:rotfl2:

The actual vehicle that you ride in whips you around corners as you go from one game to another. Sometimes we have been whipped around faster than other times, but it's lots of fun! (Maybe they move the vehicles along a little faster on days when the line for the ride is crazy.)

The line has usually been about 30-40 minutes when I have been there, but it seems to move pretty fast, so it looks a bit worse than it is, I think. This year, with the addition of the new game(s), the line may get a bit longer again, but hopefully it won't be too bad.

My four year old son can't stop talking about seeing Buzz and Woody and playing their games. I envision being stuck in that line for days..... lol!

No matter what time we went to this attraction, there was always long line. The shortest line was 30 minutes. Most of time it was 60 plus minutes. Great attraction!
