Toy Story Mania

Thanks for the quick reply. I love that park hopping is so much easier at DL than at WDW. We'll make sure to head over to DCA when it first opens.

DH2B and I both LOVE it! Sometimes we will go to the parks just to ride TSMM. We really like working together to open up the hidden stuff. So fun! :lovestruc

But I don't think everyone has to love it. That's why DLR is so great, there's something for everyone. For me, I'm not a huge fan of the Nemo subs. We've done it once, and I have no plan to do it again anytime in the near future. I like the idea of the ride, and the effects are cool, but the looooong line and loooong ride in an uncomfortably tight space just isn't worth it to me. I'd much rather wait until our next WDW trip to sit in a comfy clamshell and then go into the Living Seas and visit the manatees afterward! :cutie:

Personally me and my DLGF love this ride, whenever we go to DLR we always make sure to stop by Toy Story Mania first.

Its very interactive and its fun seeing who can get a higher score. The wait kind of sucks, but we find it worth it. Of course we have our iPhone's to keep us occupied in line :)

Slightly off topic, but what's everyone's opinion on doing Soarin before TSMM or should it be TSMM then Soarin? (Given that one has a FP and one does not...) This would be for a Friday, getting there at park opening of course. :teeth:

I would get a FP for Soarin' and then ride TSMM. By the time you're done with TSMM and make your way back up to the front of the park, it should be time for your FP. :thumbsup2

Ive actually done Soarin when they open that up before the rest of the park, then walk over to Toy Story when they do the rope drop and practically walk on in the single rider line.

Yes...this is a terrible ride!!! No fun at all!!!! If you know whats good for you go ride something else...anything else!!!! I will even sacrifice myself by only riding TSMM to help keep other lines shorter!!!!

Did anybody buy it!?

Well, it was worth a shot!!!:lmao::rotfl2::goodvibes
:rotfl:

My daughters and I were disappointed last month when we couldn't ride it (it's a new one for us). We stood in the single rider line for 20 minutes and we never even moved! We had to meet my DH so we couldn't wait any longer :guilty: The regular line was 90 minutes....

I will be in WDW in September and will be getting FPs for that. Only bummer is that my kids won't be on that trip.

We have done that too, only we walked on in the regular line (this was in January though).

It is a long wait (and always so hot!), but I really like it. For some reason I end up laughing and giggling like a little kid.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TSMM, I WILL WAIT IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!

Our first time one this ride a few weeks ago now. The two of us adults like this ride as it is one of the ones where my friend can stay on her chair and roll right on just like the astro blasters which we also like. We don't really compete against each other as we do it to have fun.

My take on the astro blasters is at DW it is far easier to load a wheel chair on there as we can get her on the car there with just slowing the ride down a little and the ride never stops once there. At DL the ride has to be stopped to load a wheelchair but the car is bigger for the chair and the laser guns are not fixed to the car like at DW where you can't move it around and shoot behind yourself. It is also far easier to get a higher score at DL cause you can hold the gun and really aim it.

That said about astro blasters now the toy story mania for the wheelchair car which is easy to get a wheelchair on there is a nice little thing on the gun for it as it has a button that you can use instead of the pull string which is good for those that only have use of one hand but it is not the best placed button. The good for us is this ride was also put in at DW which we go to more often cause it is 400 mile closer of a drive for us.

Is either of these rides worth the wait. No but if you don't wait there to ride this one you will be waiting in some other line.

Another one who loves this ride and uses the single rider line. Longest wait I have had with the single rider line is 10 minutes. Posted wait was 50 minutes!

Is there anyone else out there who found this ride to be overrated and not worth the wait? And at the time my mom and I only had a 50 minute wait and we still didn't find it worth the time. I'd rather wait in the 50 minute line for Peter Pan anyday!

Its an ok ride, basically a moving cart with projected screens. Not as cool as peter pan or the peoplemover.
