I am making my plans using Hydroguys tips and Ridemax etc and all is good except I came across something regarding TSM.
DCA opens usually at 9:30 to ride Soarin which we plan to do. My next plan was to go directly to TSM. Well reading tips it says that prior to opening they have special line specifically for TSM riders. 10-15 min before park opens the line will move to paradise pier area and then at 10 they allow the line to go get on the ride. So basically according to this after we get off Soarin there will already be a long line for TSM.
It is recommended riding the ride in the afternoon but mentions the wait could still be 40 min.
Has anyone found a good time to ride this without waiting so long?
We will be there on Wednesday.

We went first thing to TSM and then got a fp for soaring for later in the day. Sometimes the line for soaring isn't too long first thing in the morning.:wizard:

Pick up an FP or do Soarin first then do Toy Story as you will have one big ride out of the way and the Rapids would be the only thing left in that area. From Toy Story you could do Screamin, Sun Wheel when it ever opens, Maliboomer, and the Carousel. From there you can do what is left of the pier over by Mullhuland Madness and be done with the Pier. Pop down for the Rapids then down to Hollywood for Tower of Terror. Mid day lunch if needed at Taste Pilot's Grill. That leaves the rides at bug's land and the Monster's Inc. ride plus sight seeing of the wharf and Blue Sky Cellar.

Okay, what time does the Toy Story line start forming if the park opens at 10:00 am? What if I am coming in from GCH? Does that make a difference?
I have not been to DCA before so I am not really sure where everything is yet.

BIG DIFFERENCE
You will be a lot closer to the Pier and could get there faster than the race walkers who will have to race walk up and around Grizzly Peak, pass the warf and winery all the way to the entrance to the pier. It would put you up the hill from Soarin and down the hill from the Pier.

If you go to Toy Story first then veer right around San Francisco and Golden Dreams toward Mulhulland Madness and around the lake so it is on your left. You will be most of the way on flat ground while people will be on the narrow bridges and up and down bridges.:lmao: It may be a little longer that way but flat ground and wide walkways and everyone is going to make a left while you are speed walking around the far end, lol. In your case do Toy Story first then get the Soarin pass then have fun.

THANKS! I just printed this out. Do you know where links are that show the park maps that I can look at?

When we were there last weekend they had a line form for TSM over by Grizzly River Rapids - just past the GC entrance (they have done this in our previous trips also). The line forms as soon as they start letting guests in at 9:30. Then a little before 10 they start moving the line to the ride. WE always have someone run over a grab fastpasses for Soarin' as we are walking toward the TSM line since you walk right by it.

Great idea! Thanks!!

I agree but we're going on a Friday. Are there huge difference on which week day you go?

According to RideMax, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between a Wednesday morning and a Friday morning. :goodvibes

FWIW, the RideMax wait times for TSM on Wed morning (April 15) and Fri morning (April 17) are the same. :thumbsup2
