Toy Story Mania Ride

I just love all these positive reports about the ride. We arrive on June 3 and we are planning on going on Toy Story ASAP after check in!

Fantastic! I can't wait to see it. Does anyone know if there is going to be any kind of soft opening this weekend? We're going to be down there and I sure would love to see it. We're AP holders too if that helps.

Thanks :goodvibes

AP preview happened already. We went waited online for 2 hours. Great ride ... lots of fun!!! It's going to be a very crowded attraction.:thumbsup2 Great for the kids in all of us!!:woohoo: I was on my first DVC vacation and this is my first post!! Already booked #2 for Nov 4 thru 8:banana:

Congratulations -- I hope you had a great time. Can you give me some indication of the physical intensity of the ride (bumps, spins, g-forces)? I have a neck condition that limits me to rides that are no more intense than Pirates. So how would you rank it in relation to POTC -- more or less intense?

It does move from scene to scene with a fast spin (half turn) ,but not intense at all. No dips or anything like that.
Similar to Buzz's ride in Magic Kindom, but much much better . It is a 4D ride. Don't want to give up too much. If you are concerned have someone with you preride it and they'll let you know if you would be able to do it.You great to wear those extremely vogue glasses too:3dglasses

I rode the soft opening today (5/24) and loved the ride. I didn't ask if they were going to keep the ride running, but there's no reason to expect they won't.

My 4-year-old daughter's comment after riding..."I'd like to do that some more now".

Fortunately, we were on a baby swap and she got her wish!

Great photos, thanks for posting then for us to see. I can't wait to look for hidden Mickey in that line.

Like this one? ;) Sorry if this is a spoiler. You still have to find it. I hear there are three.

No bumps that I can remember but as the cars move to each new room, the cars spin a bit. Enough that it sort of "throws" you to the side.Could a member of your family ride first to help you judge? I bet they would let you baby swap for a reason like that.

We loved it too. It was closed first thing Thursday am when my DH checked but open later.

As one in our party is in a wheelchair, I especially loved the accommodations at TSM. The cars switch into a special area which allows plenty of time to load without holding up those in the main queue. There are cars with a button instead of a string which is much easier for our DD.

We rode Toy Story on 5/22 and had a blast. They took a simple concept and made it fun for everyone. I am not a video game person, so I did not score well, but it was a blast. Of course it doesn't hurt that we love the Toy Story movies.
