I'm pretty sure that at the end of the first toy story, "mom" says lets let molly open a present and the soldiers say "its a mrs. potato head".....So I think she did belong to molly.....

ok, watched a bit of Monsters, Inc.... not the scene with the drawings, but near the end. Boo can't be Bonnie. When Sulley brings her home, he picks up a few of her toys... including a Jessie doll. If Boo has a Jessie, Bonnie can't be Boo. Oh well. Maybe it is pink headband girl with the blue kitty. She doesn't have that sparkle in her eye, though.

Disney always adds other Pixar characters into their Pixar movies. I dont think you could really use that as an a strong argument about characters from one movie to another. JMO

I still maintain that Boo (Mary) is Bonnie's little sister. There's no reason to assume that Monsters Inc takes place before TS3 just because that's the order in which they were produced. That way the throwaway detail of Jessie being in Boo's room actually works (though I agree that it was, at least originally, just a fun easter egg) and explains the similar looks.

Or Boo's unrelated to anyone in the TS world and she's got one of the hundreds of Jessie dolls that were sold. But where's the fun in that?

I'll check the vid, too. although it would be odd... unless Boo is developmentally delayed, it would be unusual for her to write her name before she can speak her name.

Perhaps a teacher/day care provider/some adult, wrote the name on the picture. I know that the drawings my nephews make often have their name on them (that was written by the day care provider).

Another spoiler question...
did it bother anyone else that they kept talking about Mrs. Potatohead as Andy's toy, but she's really Molly's toy? Didn't Molly get her for Christmas?

She was Molly's toy. She got her at Christmas at the end of TS1.

It was kind of insinuated in TS2 that Bo-Peep was Molly's as well. I have a feeling Andy just kind of "borrowed" all the toys.

LOL can't imagine wasting my time zooming in on every little thing in the background looking for these connections. Anytime an animator puts something on the screen it is imbedded to some sort of reference or ideal of theirs whether intended or not. I'm glad some else did it though. I caught the Mr Tortoro as I'm an anime fan but all the small stuff in the background, forget it.
