I just realized that the day we leave (June 18) is the day TS3 opens in theaters. I would really love to hit the matinee in DTD before we leave but unsure how that theater works as far as buying tickets before hand. Any info would be much appreciated. I think the kids would get a kick out of watching it there. :thumbsup2

We love that theater and try to see a movie one afternoon on any trips that are five days or more. I haven't ever purchased tickets ahead, but they are available online. Also, if you are an AP holder, there is a discount. The Entertainment book for that area also has coupons for $7.50 tickets. I think the regular price is around $11, plus $4 for 3D. :goodvibes

Thanks!!! I do have an AP but not the Ent. Book. Maybe I will call and see if I can get a real person on the line. I just think it sounds like SO much fun to see TS3 in DTD before we head home. :cloud9:

I doubt they'll take the discount tickets you can get from the ent book, not right when it's released...

But you can look on fandango to see if you will be able to buy tickets for it ahead of time. Better to do that than run the risk of them selling out OR having to spend ages in line!

:thumbsup2 Great idea. I just checked and they don't have online ticketing available. We arrive 6/13 so maybe I can run over and grab tickets. If not, one of my best friends lives not too far, maybe she can grab them if they go on sale prior to our arrival. Thanks for the idea!!!!

We will be arriving the day before you leave (also staying at VGC:cool1:).

We are usually so busy at DLR that we have never caught a movie at the theater in DTD. But we have occasionally gone to the El Capitan theater in Hollywood. Disney owns that theater now and if you have access to a car it is a lot of fun. There is entertainment before the movie and sometimes they hand out freebies as well. :thumbsup2

I am trying to talk my family into seeing TS3 at the El Capitan but my DD (11) would prefer to see it at the theater near our home before we leave because she thinks it will be less crowded and she really doesn't like crowds.
Hopefully I will change her mind.:goodvibes

We go to this theater all the time. The AP discount is good for regular movie tickets only. They won't give you a discount if you want to view TS3 in 3D. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

That sounds like fun too! We will have a car (driving from Utah). I am thinking we might need to stay another night and leave 6/19. ;)

When Dh and I went the first week in March Alice and Wonderland opend. Our first night there we went right up to the theater and bought or tickets for the morning of opening day. It was in 3D and it cost $9 a ticket. At home we pay $14 dollars a person so we thought it was a deal. Now we had a family emergency and had to come home a day early so we didn't get to use our tickets so I don't know how the theater was....But it was very easy and you should have no trouble! :goodvibes

How many days ahead did you buy the tickets?
