Good morning all-

I have checked the Disneystore (both online/B&M), ToysRus (both online/B&M), Amazon.com, Target and Walmart and cannot find the Zurg room guard (it's from the Toy Story Movie). My son would love to have one of these for Xmas.

Does anybody have any other ideas/websites? I spend about 10 mins looking at different websites and could not find one.

Thanks and have a great day!

Please tell me, what is the Zurg room guard? I have no idea what a "room guard" is but my sons LOVE Zurg!!! In fact we just had to buy an extra Zurg action figure because they kept squabbling over the one we had. I would love to know what this is! Thanks.

What I think it is:

Somehow, when a person enters a room the Zurg Room Guard can detect the person (can't explain the technology) and makes either some sort of warning noise or speaks. My 5 yr old thought it was the coolest thing. If I remember correctly is was about 15" tall and, of course, had that ominous Zurg voice. Since he and his twin sister are getting their own bedrooms - finally, he told me it would be a good way to keep his sister out of his room. I hate to tell him, but this won't stop her- LOL.

Anyway, I have only been able to find a Buzz Lightyear Room Guard and a Rex Room Guard. I did check Ebay and found a Zurg for sale - boy, it was not cheap. I have searched the web and cannot find one. I even called Disney direct and they said they do not carry this one anymore.

I did find today at Target, a water Zurg, It only cost about $8.00 and I guess you fill it with water and it acts like a squirt gun. I figured just about the right amount of torture for when his sister gets on his nerves.

I do remember seeing the Rex Room Guard at KBtoys. I think these room guards are about $30.00 - but don't quote me on the price. I believe they are all made by Thinkway toys.

Hope you have better luck than me. Have a great Disney day.

and it was a waste of money. You have to be very close to it to get it to go off and that is all it does. We ended breaking it of it's base (it was very cumbersome to handle) so that he could carry it around and press the button and make it talk.

Oh thank you for the info. I was almost going to buy the Rex one. I try to be selective with their toys (money you know!), so I am glad I did not waste mine on this one.

Thank you. Thank you.

I'll sell you a "modified" one for half price! hee hee hee :D
