Hi - My son and I are going to Disney and then on a 7 day cruise. I'm trying to decide if I'd feel comfortable taking a towncar with just us and a driver from Disney to the Port or if I'd rather be with a group.

Does anyone understand what I mean??? Should I worry about it???

I planned to take a Disney Bus back from the cruise to the airport but since I leave at around 12:00 my travel agent thinks that is a bad idea.

What do you think??

Thanks so much for all the great information.

I have never cruised so I guess my opinion might not be the best but.... I have take the towncar to disney from the airport many times with just myself and my boys. I have never felt uncomfortable. I did however set one son in front and his job was to "pay" and be the man and the other son switched ont he way home just to be fair. I found tiffany drivers to be very professional. Hope this helps.

Due to an odd set of circumstances for part of one of my trips, I ended up being by myself (and am female) and had no problem with using a towncar service for the drive from the airport to WDW. In fact, the driver showed up with a stretch limo even though the company knew it was only a single customer. The driver helped with my bags, engaged in a modest amount of small talk and I was not the least bit uncomfortable. My only advice would be to go with a reliable company.

In fact, you might find it easier to deal with the luggage and kids etc. with a town car as opposed to the bus, if you are the only adult. Making a noon flight should not be a problem but you have more flexibility if you have a towncar instead of the Disney bus, if there should be any unexpected delays in debarking or on the highway.

Definately the town car. I travel with my 2 daughters, to cruises and to WDW, and always use a townc ar. Not only do you feel like a queen, but the true help with the luggage, etc. is great! I have never felt anything less than being driven by a professional. In fact, they are driving us from the airport to the port, from the port to WDW for the day, then back to the airport. It is cheaper than the Mears and who wants to be shlepped around on a bus?

We are doing the Towncar for our cruise this weekend. Since we are going to the Port (Raddison Hotel) a day before we sail, the Disney Bus was not an option. I have heard great things about Tiffany Towncars so I booked with them.

I do have a related question....well, kind of related....if the ship arrives in port at 7:30 AM what time do I tell the driver to be at the port to pick us up. We won't disembark at 7:30, I don't think......what time do they generally start disembarking people? I need to tell the driver a return time later than the 7:30 I had originally stated, right?????

TIA,

We have used Tiffany Towncar and Art's Shuttle for trips to and from the airport.

I felt totally comfortable, I did have dh with me but I truly believe I wouldn't have felt any different without him.

Art's Shuttle was cheaper ($100 roundtrip for 3-I think it is $110 now due to gas prices.) We had 2 different women drivers each way.

I love the towncars for their convenience and not having to wait for anyone else to load or stand in a line.
