towncar coupon/charge card question

We just got back from WDW about two weeks ago and used one of the towncar/van services. We had a fine experience but was told by the driver that they really don't like when you use the internet coupon and then use your visa as this comes out of the drivers pocket!! Is this true? I felt kind of stupid as I had the coupon and we put it on our charge card. Has any of the drivers ever told any one this? We did tip the driver both ways. Thanks.

Which company? We just did that with TTC, and there was no problem.

I am glad you posted it, if it is Tiffany's. We are using them when we go.
If they don't want you to use the coupon with the CC then it should state that in the ad. I'll make sure I bring some extra money then for the payment.

It was Yourride-I don't want this to sound negative as we had a good experience. The driver was on time both ways and very nice. I just found weird when he was complaining about people using the coupon and a charge card as it came out of his money. But, I figured that Yourride has a coupon to use and they say that they accept charge cards so I should be able to do both. I just was curious if any other drivers had told anyone this information.

I'm using Yourride next month AND using the coupon AND using my credit card. Do you remember the driver's name?

When I inquired about using my credit card, Rabbit said that would not be a problem and that I could use the internet coupon....

There was a previous post about a driver not want to take the credit card and luckily the poster had cash with them.... seemed a little sleezy to me.

But I'm sure if Rabbit knew his drivers' were pulling things like this, he'd want to know. I can't figure out HOW the coupon "comes out of the drivers' money". But the driver I get better be prepared, because I AM using my credit card and I AM using my coupon. That was one of the selling points in choosing Yourride.

Jeanny and Rabbittsz- It was a van that we had both to and from the airport. I really feel bad giving the drivers name as he was on time both ways and for the most part very nice. I think maybe he had a bad day and just had it. I really did not want to get anyone in trouble w/ this post, I just thought that maybe we had done something really stupid by using both the coupon and our visa (we don't travel alot, so I thought maybe we just looked really cheap trying to use that 5.00 coupon). I wondered if others had been told this too? But Rabbittsz, if you really want the drivers name, I will tell (just as long as he doesnt get into to much trouble).
