Town Cars and Carseats

I am trying to book a towncar from the port to the Poly, but I am amazed at the fact that a lot of companies can't accomodate carseats in their towncars! It's not like we're in Vegas - we're in Disney World - do they not expect to be transporting young kids?

Anyway, FL Tours can't put a carseat in their sedans and I'm concerned about recent reviews of Tiffany and Happy Limo. What are some other choices?

I've used Tiffany Town car service on several occasions and have never had any problems. I actually prefer them over Fl Tours.

Although they don't have towncars, Sunray provides free child/booster seats in their SUV's.

You can put carseats in town cars! They are probably just grading you up because you asked for a car seat. Only alternative. Don't use them there are many companies that will be able to accommodate your needs.

You can't go wrong with any of the following companies:

Sunray, Murray Hill transportation, Berkley Edwards transportation. I suggest them because they are mentioned on the disboards a lot and I know most of their drivers or owners.

Most companies will not offer car seats in their sedans due to luggage concerns during a drivers working day. What I mean is that, suppose after your transfers with the car seat the driver has a party of 4 adults with lots of luggage... The car seat will be in the way and will create a problem. This is why MOST car services don't offer car seats in their sedans. The rate with vans is normaly just $10.00 or $15.00 more; you'll have plenty of luggage space and a car seat for your child.

Contrary to what Edd said, companies that do not offer a car seat in the sedans are not trying to push their vans or get more out of you, it's just a logistic problem. Rest assured, even though we all run businesses for profit, we are not that greedy as Edd tries to imply.

Have a question for the OP....how old/big is the child in question? Is the child sitting in the airplane without a car seat? You could always bring a car seat with you..use on the plane and then in the towncar. Of course the buses at WDW have no car seat capability, so that isn't an issue.
I know that friends of mine have used towncar services and insisted on having a car seat. They had no problem getting one. Wish I could remember off hand who they used.

She will be 3 and about 35 lbs, so she needs a carseat. She has her own seat on the plane, but we just use the lap belt for her. Plus, since we're going on a cruise before DisneyWorld, I can't see lugging her huge carseat on the boat and to the resort.

I just used Tiffany town car in April, and they brought a booster seat for my 5yo. They were great, and very friendly. I would reccomend them to anyone.

I would love to know who you are using, because we will be in a similar position in September...week at Disney followed by a cruise, so we will need transport to the port and then to the air port. I will have to check out the places listed by EDD.
