Town Car Without Ressie?

Hi there. I'm asking this on behalf of my sister who's heading to WDW a few days ahead of me (this Saturday). At this point, they are planning on using DME, but with all of the mixups happening re. printing and flight information, they are beginning to think they might be better with a town car.

Their flight gets in relatively late (after 9:00 p.m. I think) so they can't really afford to get slowed down at MCO as they have two young kids.

Do you know if it's possible to arrive in MCO and then decide to grab a town car or taxi from the airport to their WDW resort (onsite) or do you need a reservation in advance to get any type of affordable transport?

I know that the towncars can be reserved for approx $100 return, but I didn't know if it would be much more expensive to just handle it upon arrival if things appear to be slow with DME.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You can take a taxi from MCO, but a towncar will not be waiting unless you make a reservation ahead of time. I would recommend one of the towncar companies you can read about on this board. Most have gotten positive reviews, but not all. With a towncar reservation the driver will be waiting at the baggage claim with a sign with the person's name on it. He will help with the luggage and take you directly to the hotel, unless you want a grocery stop first.
It is likely that taxis will be available, but a towncar is much more of a sure thing.
