Has anyone ever taken a towncar from the airport to their resort? We are not renting a car and I have heard that you can get a towncar that will do a quick grocery stop. Since we are staying in a 1 bedroom villa, I think this might be a good option for us!

Anyone have any reccomendations?

Also, do they provide carseats/booster seats? I have a 2 year old and 5 year old

TIA

Many of us have used various towncar companies. They usually run in the area of about $115 r/t, plus tip. You may find fares that are less than that, but most run in this area.
And the majority of them do provide a 30 min, or so, grocery stop as well.
I have used a couple different companies as well as DME. When I use DME I tend to put a grocery order in with one of the grocery services..that way my order is delivered right to the resort (usually BWV), and I pay only for what I order, plus a charge of about $12 and a tip if I choose.
I have used Tiffany Towncar as well as FL Tours in the past. If you let them know the seat requirements for your kids, I'm sure your needs will be met.

30 minutes goes by super fast when you have to wrangle two kids and a husband into the grocery and then shop a store you don't know. Be sure to have a very exact list. You might want to have DH take one kid and shopping cart and hit all the interior items (can good, pre packaged snacks, etc) then you hit the perimeter with the other kid and a shopping cart.

Depending on the length of your trip it may not be much more to rent a car and not have to worry about being rushed. There have been lots of good codes running around that get a midsize for a week for under 200. Also realize that if you have your own car you can also do an offsite dinner or two. Sometimes there is only so much Mickey I can handle at a time.

We use Tiffany Towncars. I always ask for car seats for my 2 and 6 yr old and they have always been provided. As for the grocery stop...I take one child and my husband takes the other...he does the drinks and lunchmeat while i do the rest of the store. We are usually out of the store with a weeks worth of snacks, breakfast items, some lunches, and of course adult beverages in about 15-20 minutes. Works well and you do not have to lug your baggage out of the airport nor into the hotel. definately worth it in our opinion.

Another vote for Tiffany. The last time we used a Car Service we used FL Tours with less than stellar service. :headache:
