Town car or taxis??

Hi,

Just wondering if people generally use town cars or taxis?

When we arrive at Orlando we are going to Universal Studios first so am unsure whether we should just get a taxi there from the aiport or book a town car?

Does anyone have any recommendations for companies for town cars?

we used mears shuttles to get from the airport to universal... it cost us $30 round trip per person, and it was a great trip.. we got to see a few other hotels that others were staying at, cause it's a shared ride, but we figured it was worth it for only $30 per person return

Probably best to do the sums. If you are 4 people, sometimes a town car or a taxi works out cheaper than a shuttle. As for whether a taxi or town car is cheaper I'm not sure. Others on here will surely know.

We choose town car (SUV) as there was 5 of us. Booked via mears. I recall it being $130 rtn incl tip.worked well when we arrived at MCO from NYC as plane was late and arrived 1030. Nice to be greeted, bags taken and big clean SUV to take us direct to hard rock hotel at universal. They sent a minivan for our return trip , we were the only ones in it though.

I would defintely go for a car service. I was entertained on our last trip watching a taxi driver trying to fit a family's luggage in his taxi. When we left he still had 2 suitcases sitting on the driveway of the hotel.
