I'm so undecided between a garden room or tower room <---which is about $550.00 more. :earseek: Is the view really worth it? And they can't guarentee a MK view anyhow. Convienece wise, I have heard that you can walk to MK qucker from a garden room rather than take the monorail from the tower, is this true? How far is the walk? We stayed at the BC last time and yes, it's about a 10 minute walk to Epcot, however......that's only to the entrance, then we had to shlep to the showcase itself. Not a horrible walk, but still a substantial 10 minute plus walk. Also, how far is it to actually get to Chef Mickey's or the Food & Fun center from the garden rooms? :bounce:

Thanks!

Personally, I prefer the tower, so I book the tower. I like the MK view, but the Bay Lake view is very nice as well.

If you are going at a slower time of year and the view isn't that important to you, book the wing and hope for some magic.

To get from the wings to any of the restaurants, you need to walk to the tower and take the elevators up, depending on where in the wings you are it should only be a 5 minute or so walk.

If you can afford it go for the tower room. I love the bay lake view. It is so relaxing. Besides taking the elevator down its just as easy to take the walking trail from the Tower as it is from the garden wing. I also found it to be more convenient to be in the main bldg. I found it much easier to get an elevator in the morning (8am or so) going to the 4th floor for Chef Mickey’s or to take the monorail to the TTC. When I stayed in the garden wing I there were mornings I would have to wait for an elevator. One con about staying in the Tower is having to go to the garden wing to do laundry. I was at least twice when im there. But still I find staying in the Tower to be the best.

We stayed at the North Garden Wing and loved it. For $550 more, I'd stay at a different deluxe. It is just a 10 minute walk to MK's gate and then you are there on Main Street. We were lucky and had a garden wing room close to the Tower. There is a door to the food court that's right across from the North Wing, so for us it was only about a 2 minute walk. We also had a ground floor room with a patio. I'd highly recommend that.

We've only stayed in the tower and after that I have no plans on staying in the wings. The MK view is unbelievable. Can't wait for our next visit.

Personally, I wouldn't spend $550 for a view!! For me, thats a good dinner for 5 nights, or 2 peoples airfare!!

Stayed in the North Garden Wing and enjoyed it immensely. Haven't stayed in the Tower. I assume the views are great. But, we had a standard view and ended up with a very pretty view of a pond and trees with Spanish moss. Not sure I'd spend $550 just to improve the view.

The North Wing is a pretty easy walk to MK (though a hot one in August when we were there!). The North Wing is very convenient to the Food and Fun counter and the arcade. Also, parking is convenient -- right outside the wing main entrance.

Just noticed that you are going to be on the 14th Floor around when we are! What are your dates? We will be there from 8/22 - 8/28!

We have not stayed at CR in some time (are DVC owners now), but we always stayed in the wings. You’ll find proponents of both. For us, the wings were fine and the walk was not strenuous. They are certainly quieter and often the views are very nice – the lake, lovely topiaries, etc. Staying in the wings did not at all diminish our Disney experience and it saved us some money for other fun things.
