Tower of Terror?

Yes, unfortunately we learned after the fact that TOT is operating at half capacity. I was mind-boggled by the wait times when we were there May 6. Over 100 minutes by late morning. We were there for TSL EMM and I had assumed we would be OK heading over there in the first hour of park open without a FP based on past reports. Nope. We didn't end up riding this trip because we were not willing to wait in lines that long. I went over to the attraction and talked to a cast member about it and he explained and made a comment like, "It's going to be like this all summer." He didn't seem thrilled.

Sorry to be negative OP. Just make sure you rope drop it if you don't have/can't get a FP.

When I made my HS plan, I penciled in a 11:00 FP for ToT, thinking it'd be easy to get.

Our HS day is at 60+1. Earliest time I could get was 2:10. I grabbed it, and then had to rework our schedule. No biggie, but I wasn't able to get RNRC and ToT back to back, so it'll cost us an extra walk down Sunset Blvd.

This makes sense now, thank you for posting. My FP window is 30 days and I was surprised when I wasn't able to get ToT since I've never had difficulty before, even just a week out. I've kept checking every once in a while just in case but still nothing. Guess we'll wait until next time.

Thank you so much for posting! I was literally coming here just to ask what was going on with ToT! 60+ days out and there were no FP+ until after 4pm (we are doing two half days in DHS). Hoping maybe to rope drop it!

I LOVE the DisBoards!

Here is a good diagram of the attraction. I don't believe they are doing the two main drop shafts at the moment. If they are I haven't heard of those being closed but they are working on one load/story shaft at a time. There are 4 of those total.

I didn’t know there was more than two of the hallway scenes. That diagram gives way more appreciation to one of my favorites at the parks

So this thread gave me the urge to recheck FP availability.

I wasn't able to change our ToT time, but I was able to change our RnRC time to 1:00. So, I can do both RnRC and ToT, with Lightning McQueen between them, in a single trip down Sunset.

We still have to make a separate trips each for Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic, but 3 trips is better than 4.

With the 11:00 ToT, I would have been able to do B and the B, RnRC, ToT, and Lightning all in 1 trip down Sunset.

My kids and I rope dropped ToT on Wednesday. It was running at 50% capacity and we waited about 20-25 mins in line and saw very few FPers going in.

Thanks for posting the diagram of the ride. That is AWESOME! I still think this is the most immersive ride in the park and very underrated when compared to some of the other shiny new rides. It is so much more than a drop ride.

It is my favourite ride in all the parks. Truly epic.
