I remember reading on here a while ago about a lever that you could pull on the Tower of Terror in WDW just after you exit the pre-show. The lever did something but I can't rembember what or exactly where it is. Could anyone confirm this? And if anyone knows what thread it is that explains all of the hidden secrets to do in WDW, please could they tell me? Thanks

I am curious to know too! We read that in the book as well and planned on having DH pull it. ;) But our son was sick that day, so DH stayed back in the room with him. Both DD and I were too scared to pull it!

The lever is on an electrical box and it is supposed to make a loud pop but I'm not sure if it is working.

BumP! I have been on this ride... maybe 50 or 100 times, and this is the first I've ever heard of this!

We were there in August and it did nothing. However, the kids still thought it was pretty cool to be able to do it anyway.

According to The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World, It states,

"Just after you exit the library for your harrowing thirteen-story drop, notice the fuse boxes on the left-hand wall. Take a moment to give the handle a pull. You may (or may not, depending on whether they are in full working order) get a rather shocking surprise! Don't worry; it won't hurt, so even the kiddies can give it a try." :)

Will have to look for that next time.

Yeah it's there. When I used to work there and I had to get through a library, I'd have to wait for the wall to open to get in, so I'd wait there and when the wall opened and people walked past me, I'd pull it, and people would get scared. I believe it's also attached to the box the Cast Members use to trigger open the walls from the outside if their are no guests or show going on in the libraries.
