*SPOILERS*
Overall, I liked them equally. I thought the outdoor queue was better at MGM, but the indoor queue was better at DCA.
There isn't a garden path like at MGM. There is a small queue next to the hotel under a vine-covered canopy.
The lobbies were about the same, with some small differences. The ceiling is different and the color scheme is a little lighter at DCA. There is also more queue inside of the lobby at DCA than MGM. The libraries were pretty much the same.
The boiler room was an improvement over the one in Florida. It has two floors and the lighting and sound effects are great.
Now the rides are very different. Once the ride starts, the elevator moves back into the shaft while starfield and lightning effects go off. You go up to the first stop, which is the Mirror scene. This replaced the 5th Demension room. You see yourself in the mirror and then it looks like you start to disappear. The mirror cracks and your elevator shakes violently. I thought this was a great replacement. Mostly because I thought the 5D room was a little on the tacky side.
Then you go up (or down depending on the shaft you are in) to the hallway scene. It starts out pretty much the same as in Florida. You see the ghosts and then the room turns into the a starfield, etc. But instead of a window at the end of the hallway, there is an elevator. You see the ghosts step into the elevator and the elevator disappears. Then you start your drop sequence. After the ride ends, you roll foward into the loading area.
