Tower of Terror for my 8 yr old???

My two 7 year old daughters loved ToT. It was hilarious to see the picture afterwards. I was obviously screaming and they were just sitting there smiling. :rotfl: I say leave it up to her. Do you want to try it or not? Let her decide in that moment.

Well, thanks guys for all your advice.....it really helped, my daughter decided for herself that she was gonna do it, I was a nervous wreck for her but she loved it.....she went on twice that day and she even managed to go on Rock n roller too, and this is all fromt he kid who hates roller coasters in the dark!!!!!!!!! Thanks again

Our DD went on at age 6 and DS at age 5. DD loved it right away and DS said "Mommy I like it when it goes up, but not when it goes down". We bought shirts and the next year he said "yeah I remember that ride I loved it".

Maybe ride it first and see if you think she'll like it. I didn't think the drops were that bad. It's only a few floors at a time then back up. They really build up the suspense though when you're waiting in line.

Good luck. I'm sure it will be fine whatever you decide. :sunny:

Hi - O.k. I replied yesterday and now today I read these threads to my daughter and I told her look how many kids change their minds a year or two
later. She says she still does not want to go on. I asked her what specifically bothered her and she said that she is scared she will go forward down hallway and right out the window. :lmao: I had a good laugh, mind you.
I wouldn't laugh if she was 5 or 6 but she is now almost 11 and she is hardly ever scared of anything. Oh and she doesn't like the waiting for the drop for that second or two!!

My tall 6 year old dd loved the TOT but she likes all kinds of rides. Try to fugure out why she doesn't like roller coasters. If its because of the drops or the speed, she probably won't like TOT.

You really have to know your child. My DD loved TOT at age 4 but my DS, who was 7 at the time was really scared. What set him off was the "ride" through the hotel before the drops - especially the lightening and the big floating eyeball.
I agree! My 9-year-old daughter now loves this ride, but she is still a little freaked out by the ghosts and scary things you see before the drops. I would ride it first if you can and judge it for yourself. It is a lot of fun! :)

My son, 4 yrs old our first trip, would ride anything. He said he didn't really like ToT, but when I ask him if we were going to ride it this time he said yes! So we will see. One ride he did not like and will not ride again is Stitch's Great Escape. He is scare of him. I had to change one of our character meals because stitch was going to be there! Glad I found out before we went, I had no idea!!!

My DS 7 wanted to ride it when we went in December, against my better judgement we all got in line for it. He was scared by the time we got to the front and I told him that we didn't have to get on, that we could just wait outside. He decided that he wanted to do it so against my better judgement again, we got on the ride. It scared the beejeezus out of him. He was crying and screaming at the top of his lung while hanging on to me for dear life. I have never felt worse watching him. We spent the rest of the day trying to make it up to him..... I rode Star Tours three times in a row with him..... he loves that ride!

My DD5 is an adrenaline junky. Must be from taking her on rides at 9 months old in MK. She wanted to go on TOT. I had been on it many times, so we took her and she loved it. I honestly do not see this ride being that bad. I think it is a very clean ride-not too much jerking.
