Rode ToT during EMH this morning and the drop sequence was eerily quiet. Do they usually pipe in sounds during the drop? I’d never noticed it before.
I’m so scared of this ride and have refused to ride it since day 1. Id like to do it this year and make up the courage but nope probably not
I do all the other rides in Disney world. Go figure.

I hate the sensation of falling. HATE it! I have ridden it more than once because the effects are so nice. Plus I feel kind of a sense of accomplishment when it's over.I’m so scared of this ride and have refused to ride it since day 1. If it helps, the car isn't actually dropping in a freefall. You are being pulled downward by a cable.I’m so scared of this ride and have refused to ride it since day 1. Id like to do it this year and make up the courage but nope probably not

As mentioned, Dr. Doom is not your typical drop ride![]()

You do drop but the point is more that you go shooting up & the drops are pretty tame.Shout out here for KennywoodDr Doom is NOT a drop ride! It shoots you up really fast, so you get a sense of weightlessness at the top. It is really short (TOO short). I don't like dangly feet drop rides (the Pittfall at Kennywood was one of those) but I like Dr Doom and LOVE ToT!
We so miss the Pittfall since they took it out!!
