If you've experienced both, would you say they're exactly the same? Minor differences? Big differences?

In the CA version, you don't move across the floor, just up and down, since you board and offload in the same shaft that you go up and down in. There's also a mirror effect that I don't remember in Florida. At one point you see yourselves in a mirror, it then fades out and all you see is heat images (red/yellow outlines) but its still your elevator car because if you wave you hands you'll see yourself move in the image.

That sounds pretty cool. :cool1:

The one at WDW is longer. They're both super fun, but I think I like the one at WDW a little better. :D If you ride it at night, the view of DCA is awesome, though, especially if the Electrical Parade is going on.

Ive been on both. But I dont think I can really help you out with this one though. At DL and WDW I kept my eyes shut tight, while holding on for dear life on both ToTs. I only went on because the sweetpea is a much braver one than I. And according to the sweetpea, the one at DL is funner.

DCA's version is very different from Florida. We only have one set of shafts, Florida has 2. Florida has the 5th Dimension room to travel through, we have the "magic mirror effect." They are both good, but I still think Florida has the better Tower.

I think the overall experience at WDW is better. The location of the tower, the roadway leading up to it, the queue area are all better. The architecture is different on them and I like both. The DCA version has a larger queue area with loads of atmosphere but itis lit in a more cartoony fasion. The whole thing feels like it might be out of toontown.
Once in the ride the DCA version is smoother. The mirror effect that "replaces" the 5th dimension room at WDW can not compare. While the effects in the 5th dimension room were not great it still was an awesome idea and moment when the elevator moves forward through the room and enters the Twighlight Zone. The DCA version never leaves the shaft and after the weak mirror effect, begins the drop sequence. For some reason the drop sequence seemed more fun at DCA though and I did not get nearly as motion sick as at WDW.

I agree with Daannzzz- The DCA one just didnt "work" for me as well as the WDW one. The actual ride was fun but not as "believeable" as the WDW one

:jumping4: The Tower is high on my list to see how it compares to WDW. The last time at DL it was nothing but a steel frame.

you don't move across the floor? That SUCKS!! Sorry, but we thought that was such a cool thing!!! Oh well, I still need to take a trip down south :moped: and check it out....I'm sure it will be just as fun!!! :earboy2:
