Tower of Terror Changes Question

There was an article in the Mickey Monitor about changes made to the Tower of Terror. I thought changes were made about a year ago to this attraction? What is different, the drop sequences?

From what I have read, the drop sequences have been randomized and changed, so you will not know what to expect. Can't wait to try it!

We rode it four times on our 2/4-2/9 and each drop was different. It is great not knowing what you may feel. They have added some sound effects too.

I just got back about a week ago and was pretty impressed with the new Tower of Terror. I noticed new sound and visual effects, like we stopped mid-floor during one of the drops and this ghostly image appeared and then there was a blast of cold air, then we shot back up to the top of the tower. Then there was quite the surprise ending!!! Shocked me and everyone else in the car!! I won't give anything away unless people want me to...... it was quite exciting and unexpected.

we came back on Tuesday and while we were there one of the CMs said we had to ride at least 4 times for the different sequences. I think over the course of our time there we managed to get 2 different sequences on our 3 rides- they were awesome- I just laughed and laughed- the weightlessness was so funny and fun and silly!! We also sat in the front row twice, which I think was a first for us. I think ToT has become my favorite ride!!

There are 5 different sequences. 3 that start up and 2 that start down. There is one with a suprise ending, I can't tell you about it as this is the only one that I havn't had yet. They've added sight and smell in it also.
