Tower of Terror Bar

I hate the ToT ride but I love the theming of it so I think a bar there is a great idea. Its a perfect place to wait for family members to finish the ride.

I bet that'll be a huge appeal. My husband won't ride it, but would enjoy sitting inside with a cool drink; I would ride it over and over again but probably would not have a drink in between (for obvious reasons, haha :crazy2:). Everyone wins!

Hearing that Tower of Terror will be getting a themed bar inside. The bar is expected to offer Hollywood Tower Hotel themed drinks, and will be located at the exit of the attraction. The bar will be installed quickly, with it expected to open within the next few days. No word on whether there will be any seating or whether it will just be a bar by itself. Either way, i'm rather excited for this - DHS needs all it can get at the moment!! What do you think about this?
Great idea. It will take plenty of alcohol to make me do that ride again.

The way the article describes it, it would have to be a very small bar. I hope that it isn't but I'm sure that we'll find out very soon!

Exciting on a scale on 1 to 10 I'm a 13 lol...

This sounds awesome and I'm not a big drinker, especially in the parks but every now and then it's nice to grab a cheeky cocktail to enjoy in the late afternoon.

Oh and who doesn't love a themed drink in a themed cup, Crazy people that who :P

Could it be they will eliminate the photopass area? They really don't need it since you scan before you get to that area. For those who want an actual print they order it at the Photo Store on Hollywood Blvd. Most will be getting the digital and not stop anyway. That entire space can be utilized.

Honestly they can turn the photopass counter into the bar since there is storage behind it to use for supplies. On the opposite side where there are benches they could add some small bistro style tables/chairs.

Bottleneck, yes, but that has never stopped them ... winding your way out after RnR, Pooh, Pirates, Buzz Lightyear, Everest, Dinosaur ... avoiding people who are stopping all around the displays in your way.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this turn the photo counter into a bar. It sounds like a really cool idea.

This is awesome news, really hope it's true and in place for December when we visit. Looooove ToT!

Eurgh this will be amazing. The Twilight Zone is my favourite TV show but I actually hate drop rides - this could be my dream compromise. So many episodes could provide decor inspiration/hidden Mickeys.

Sounds awesome! ToT is my all time favorite ride and this makes it even better, now that High Octane has closed. Hopefully the awesome bartenders from High Octane will be working there :)

Not a fan of more alcohol in the parks. And I'm saying that as someone who likes to have a few drinks now and again. In fact, now that we're a little older, our kids are adults, etc., one of our favorite things to do is bar-hop on the monorail loop. I just don't like alcohol in the parks. It's not like a 10 on the scale of things that bother me, but if I made the rules there would be no booze in the parks. Sorry to be a party pooper...

Well maybe Disney is thinking "If we get these people boozed up maybe they won't realize that we've closed half of the park, cut staffing so the rides we still have don't work, and are still increasing prices!"

Wow! ToT has my very favorite theme of any ride in DHS or WDS for that matter. I hope the hotel bar lives up to the environment. Every time I exit the ride I think - this would be a great place to have a party, like a murder mystery dinner or something.

I don't know that that area will be the bar. Maybe my definition of bar is different, but most that I have been in have age requirements. I can't imagine having a lounge whose primary purpose is to serve alcoholic drinks (even if it has a few other things) will be what Disney has families filled with kids filing past as they exit the attraction. Not only is it awkward (I feel it would be hard to relax with 40 people walking by every 60 seconds), but the legality may be iffy depending on how Disney spins it all.

So you mean it will be 21+ only? Parents won't be able to stop if they have kids with them?

I must be in the minority that decides "if" I have a drink its only in the WS and maybe while in the UK or Germany pavilions. I just don't have the desire to anywhere else at WDW. :rolleyes1

I'm pretty much the same way - in AK or HS, I only get drinks at dinner. But when I'm in World Showcase, it's open season :)

Could you imagine how messy the elevator ride would be if the bar was located at the entry of the attraction?

:crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

I was reminded years ago by our son, immediately following our Biergarten dinner, that I had promised him one more ride on Test Track. That was interesting :)
