Towel Question

Hi,

We are taking our first DVC trip in a couple of months, staying at BLT.

We are staying in a studio and there are only the two of us. If I want extra towels I understand I have to pay for them - but do the 'extra' towels get replaced on trash and towel day? Or do I have to pay twice?

I know we should have plenty of towels for just two of us but I find that towels don't dry as well in hotel rooms so if we have a few spares we can leave some drying.

Yes, you can buy an extra towel package. I think it's $6. And yes, it will get replaced on T&T day....at least it did for us when we did it.

You have to pay for that new towel pack on day four.

If there are just two of you and you are in a studio, you will have four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. Just hang them up and you'll be fine.

We didn't . When you bought the extra towel package were you charged twice for it? So you paid $6 for the original towel package and then on day 4 they charged you another $6? When we did it, both sets of towels were replaced on day 4 and we were not charged. We only paid for the original order for our room. We had an extra person in our studio that stay, so needed a few extra towels. You would be the only person I've ever heard of having to pay twice for the towel package.

I've seen several posts that say you need to pay for another set of Towels after Trash and Towel day. And it makes sense that mousekeeping would only supply your villa with the standard package.

I don't think I've ever seen a definitive answer on this. I don't know the technical rule of whether they are supposed to replace them or not. My guess is no and they usually wouldn't know to anyway unless you're there to ask or leave them a note. Even if you use a clean one daily you may have 1 set remaining on the T & T day. Also don't forget you can change the day of T & T if you need to.
