Towel animals!

Got our first batch of towel animals today!

Mrs. Santa Claus and a rabbit.

When we were there Thanksgiving week I got a Turkey and a rabbit. And yes I brought them home.

We got an aardvark or something. He's been on the dashboard ever since, and will be going back to visit next week, LOL.

DH and I got an elephant, bird and Mickey on our Honeymoon...the Mickey is in our Disney room and the bird and elephant are in our guest bathroom!!

We also just returned from our Thanksgiving trip. We stayed at Pop Century, in the 50's buildings. We had a funky little bear type animal in our window all week. Than on Thanksgiving day we came home to a really cute turkey holiding out toothbrushes on the bathroom counter. It was fun to look in all the windows to see the different animals. Disney Magic!

I hope that we get some when we are there in January. I read here that it is not gauranteed, and No it will not spoil our trip if none appear, but it would be a treat! They really sound soooooo cute!

We got a bunny that someone left for our last trip. I think we had a couple of fish that someone else left for one of our other trips.

Towel animals are little animals made out of wash clothes. The mousekeepers leave them some times. We got one on our last trip, it was a cute bunny looking thing with little polka dot stickers all over it. It was fun to find waiting for us in our bathroom on our first day back from the parks. I gave it to my sister to take home, I hope I get another one this upcoming trip because I'd like one for myself!

I was really dissapointed my last trip this October. We had 4 rooms and it was clear that younger children were staying with us. We didnt get any towel animals??? Nothing?? WHY?? Should I have requested it??

I don't think you can request towel animals. They're sort of like vists from the Tag Fairy, sometimes you get one and sometimes you don't. I've been to Disney five times and no towel animals for me. Maybe this time! I've not lost hope anyway.

I've gotten towel critters at all the resorts I've stayed at except Polynesian - I don't expect or request them though, they are just a cute surprise.

We got this one at AKL this past October. I called it a zombie bunny since it has scary green eyes!

I saw these "towel animals-critters" in the windows at POP.. I bragged to my sister how they do these cute things for the kids and after ll was said and done.. No animals They made a liar out of me!!!!

Stitch, that is a great pic, anyone else have any? We have never had them but during our last trip to POR mousekeeping would put our kids stuffed animals in all kinds of cute positions. One day they slung a hammuck between the two bed posts (made out of a sheet) and put a few of the animals into it.

Younger children are staying in the majority of rooms on property, though. I don't think having kids with you automatically gets you a towel animal. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

Not something to get upset about though!

When we were at the Grand Californian at DL they left baskets with linens outside the rooms on the concierge level and they all had towel animals in them. It didn't take long for people to snatch them up
