i have always wandered, are you allowed to keep the towel animals that are in the room from mouskeeping? We have gotten a few, but never kept them, thinking you weren't supposed too, but i have seen other people taking them and talking about taking them. Please confirm this for me.

Thanks!
Danielle

We got towel animals last year at Pop. We asked housekeeping if we could take them. They said yes.

Prior to my trip this past May I never took my towel animals home with me. However, we were at the CBR in May and happened to be in our room when housekeeping came to clean our room. The girl was very nice we commented on the towel animals (we had 3 at that point) and told us that the towel animals were ours to take home with us, so we did.

We only got 2 at the CR last summer and my cousins got a bazillion at the WL - and we took them home. I think the OPs are correct: it doesn't matter if you tip daily or not, if ya get 'em, ya get 'em. I tipped daily and only got 2 and my cousins tipped daily and they got tons. At least 12. So for what it's worth.....:confused3

Our last stay, we got towel animals every day. We were told we could take them, but I had no use for 7 so I let DS pick his favorite.

I don't know if tipping helps any although we did tip every day and said please and thank you whenever asking for anything. I also made sure to greet her and/or make some small talk whenever and wherever our paths crossed.

I can't imagine why people would take them home. Yes they are cute, but they are just folded towels! Wouldn't they unfold in your luggage or get squished? Then you've just got a bunch of cheap hotel towels.

Y'know, it baffles me how people do things like take home 12 towels from the resort and then complain when prices go up.

I've heard of people keeping them. I don't know the actual rule, but I'd suspect that WDW would have to be replacing a lot of towels if they were meant to be kept. We've only received them twice (in one stay) in 10 trips and it wouldn't have occured to me that they were something to keep and I still don't think so, obviously.

We arrived at POR on the 5th July and in our room was a rabbit. The next day they custom made us a toothbrush holder but never received anything after that. We've brought the rabbit home.

Maybe you can take them with, but I still can't figure out why anyone would want to.

Your cousins must have had Diana for a mousekeeper!! We got at least 7 towel animals for a two night stay at the WL!

I was told theat towels creatures could only be made w/ towels that have been deemed as not usuasalble in the rooms.....and that they were for taking home or leaving for the next guest. I have always left them because they would just collect dust at home:lmao:
