I am torn on my trip in Dec. between doing A Walk In Walt's Footsteps at DL or the Segway tour at CA, was just curious as to what you would recomend. Thanks again in advance.
I have had the pleasure of attending both of these tours. The "Walk in Walt's Footstep's" tour is very different from the "Segway" tour, so maybe that will help your decision. Just like you would expect the "WIWF" tour is about the history of DL. When I took this tour the old Gallery was open so the lunch was served on Walt & Roy's patio, which was a nice touch. I'm not sure what they do today with the re-location of the Gallery.
The "Segway" tour is all about riding a Segway. The cool part of this tour is being in DCA without other guests. You meet early in a room behind Guest Services on the DCA side. You are served juice, tea or coffee, along with some muffins, as you fill out waivers and watch a how too video. Then your off to the area in front of "Monster's, Inc." for your lesson, then around the park, in a follow the leader type ride.
In both tours you receive a collectible pin. The "Segway" tour also included a group photo.
I'd recommend the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. You can take a segway tour anywhere it's offered, but you can only get the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour @ Disneyland.
