Has anyone done either the World Showcase/Destinations Discovered or The Undiscovered Future World tours?? What did you think- would you recommend either of these? What kinds of things did you learn/see/discover?

I recently did the Destinations one and it was fantastic. I loved being in WS before it officially opened and we did go backstage a few times. Lunch was at Rose and Crown which was enjoyable as well. I was nervous about it because it was a large chunk of time but I learned a lot about the design and culture of the pavilions.

We too did the WS Destinations and loved it. Our guide was terrific and we learned lots of little known facts. Our lunch was at Restaurant Marrakesh and we enjoyed it

In 2016, I did both tours back to back and they fit seamlessly together. The Future World tour starts with history of origins of Disneyland, how it influenced Walt Disney World, and the history of how Epcot came to be. The tour stops at every area. You will visit/pass by the Fountain of Nations, Mission Space, Coral Reef Restaurant, Imagination Pavilion, Universe of Energy, Wonders of Life Pavilion, Odyssey building, a VIP Lounge and Cast Member Services. We got to ride Space Ship Earth and Test Track. Since there was only 3 of us on the tour, we got a bonus of visiting backstage the building where all the 3D glasses used in the park are washed and sanitized.

The DestiNations tour picks up where Future World leaves off. You will get the history of the park, sponsorship of each pavilion and how World Show Case is set up. We visited each pavilion and found out what was originally planned and how that evolved into what is there today. We also went backstage to see the Illuminations Globe and barges. Lunch was at Rose and Crown.

Both tours were very interesting and the guides were fantastic.

DH and I have taken the unDISCOVERed Future World tour and thought it was awesome. On our particular tour, we got a lot of history of the park and design details (including a lot of explanation of how The Land pavilion was designed - which was awesome), visited the VIP lounge at The Seas, saw the 3D glasses cleaning area, skipped to the front of the line on Soarin, and went to Cast Member Services. It was really a great tour and I would highly recommend it if you love Epcot.

My dad and stepmom took the WS Destinations tour last fall and loved it. My dad said it made him see so much more detail of Epcot that he wants to go back and explore more and take more tours.
