Yay! 28 days! I was being silly yesterday with the whole "contrarion" thing! I normally would just be like: "huh?", and leave it alone. Then I found I really wanted to know what they meant by it. The funny part is that I was able to use the word with my kids at lunch today (they are homeschooled), and my daughter said "what the heck is a contrarion?" I laughed pretty hard.
Anyway, I realized after I went to bed that I had forgotten to actually answer your question! It's a good thing it was covered by others! But really, we went the first time with the no-plan plan, and I almost died. It felt like that anyway. My parents didn't know how to use fastpasses properly, so they pulled us from one ride to another, and it didn't matter if they were all the way across from where we were. Our last trip was fantastic b/c I had learned all the best tips by then. We went without a touring plan but used the fastpasses the best possible way, and we literally only waited once for 40 minutes b/c we were by Thunder Mountain after getting our Splash Mountain fastpasses and decided to wait. This time we will take our touring plans just in case, but if we don't feel the need to use them then we won't. We just signed up for Touringplans.com about a month ago so we will have them just in case it gets crazy. The way I feel about it is this: you can have the best touring plan in the world, but it won't necessarily reflect your personal tastes. My sheets might say that a certain time is the best time to get on Tower of Terror, but I really want to ride Toy Story then, or maybe I have a fastpass for Tower of Terror I can use later so I should take the time to ride something else. At that point I will have to readjust. I think that's how most people do things, and that's why everyone is not heading for the exact same rides at the exact same times. Take your sheets in case you need them, but veer off and do what you want to do if that's what suits you at the time. Have fun!
