Touringplans.com Personalized Plans--Accurate times?

Does anyone here have experience with the Touringplans.com personalized plan feature? I'm using it to plan blocks of time when we'll be in the parks, mostly mornings.

I create my schedule based off what I think would be best, and then I hit "optimize" and it changes everything around, to decrease wait times in line, time spent walking, etc.

Does anyone have any experience using this? How accurate was it for you?

i have read on here not to trust this company they are not close to accuret

That is pretty brutal...especially if you never used TP personally.

TP is typically more accurate for WDW than DL. When I have used their personalized plans before, they were pretty good with times, but that is my experience.
You just have to take it with a grain of salt...it is just a prediction after all.

I've had some trouble with the optimize feature changing things to an order that really doesn't make any sense (waiting in a 45 minute predicted standby line, then getting a fastpass an hour later, stuff like that). Granted, I haven't used the plans in the park, but they seem strange to me. I've enjoyed having it, though, to play around with and loosely plan our park days.

From what I understand, the estimated wait times on attractions are pretty accurate, but the forecasted crowd levels are generally not.

This has been my experience as well. I have a paid subscription to touringplans and I have found that the wait times part of their software is extremely accurate (probably because it is updated by users) but the crowd levels are way off. We were forecasted to have a crowd level of 9 on one of our days but it was actually less crowded than the day before, which was projected to be a 6.5. I have heard that they are more accurate for WDW, but I really only use it as a fun resource to help run possible scenarios on how i would like to spend my time in the park. For that purpose, it suits me just fine.

Thanks for the responses.

This is what we've decided, too. I think it will be helpful; it's a better alternative than standing around at the park saying "what should we do next?".

I like to play around with this program too. Put the attractions in the order I would like to do them in, see how they change them. Then I usually change them back to what makes more sense to me. I haven't used my plan in the parks yet and will be curious how accurate their times are compared to what really happens when we are there in September. But even if the times aren't exactly right, I always like to have a plan and outline of our day.

If you use your plan soon, let us know how accurate it was!

Thanks and have fun!
