Our last several trips to US/IOA have included some time onsite at RPR - so we had express and no plan and it has always been easy. However, we will be staying at CB for our next trip - so no express. We'll be in the parks for three days between April 19-22. This will be a first-time and likely only-time trip for two of the people in our group so we want to make sure to not miss any of the highlights. (And to spend plenty of time in the Harry Potter areas). I'm hoping to use the early hour as often as possible, but doubt we'll get everyone up and out the door in time every morning.

April 19-22 appear to be "moderate" crowd days according to undercover tourist. With 3 days across 2 parks with that crowd level and you should be fine IMO with a "loose" touring plan. That is, make sure you do a few key things like hitting up Minion Mayhem first thing before it get's busy on one of the days, use the early entry for HP on 2 of the 3 days (once for Hogsmeade, once for Daigon) etc.
