Touring the BLT models...

Doing a super last minute visit to the WDW this weekend. Having never been to the BLT, I'm interested in visiting the BLT models. Can I just drop by and walk through the villas, or do I have to go through a guide, presentation or kiosk check in? TIA to any BLT experts

I don't think you can just drop by and walk through the villas because they are not just left open for anyone to just come in. My friends and I checked in with a kiosk and made an appointment to tour the property which included the roof observation which is not open to the general public. You need a special key plus you need to be staying at the property to visit the rooftop.

I would suggest that you make an appointment to tour of the property and it's amenities.

You can see the BLT model at the SSR preview center unless they have swapped it out for Aulani, but I do not think that is the case.

Thanks for all the great info..... SSR is my home resort, but never been there yet Think I'll drop by tomorrow and check out the BLT models too. Thanks again for the quick info. Have a safe and fun long weekend!!

I toured the Aulani models today here at SSR, and can say that there are now three models to view - AKV, BLT and Aulani. I'm staying here at SSR this trip, and just walked on over to the Preview Center on a whim. As an existing member they were happy to show me the Aulani models - I can't say it would be the same if someone were not yet a member, as they would need to schedule and appointment and have the regular presentation to go along with it. While I can't say definitively, they probably would be okay with showing the BLT model as well. Worth a shot to ask anyway...
