Touring Suggestions?

I'm a part of a group of 3 adults that will be at DLR on Friday, 2/8. I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest a possible touring plan as I'm not quite sure how we should best tour. We will be there before RD (at least I will because I wait for NO ONE!! They're adults... they can take the shuttle if they don't get in the rental car by the time I say! )

We're kids at heart and FL is a definite! We're pretty much hoping to hit as much as we can in our one day - Space Mt, Splash, Pirates, Indiana, etc. You know, all of them!

Would you recommend doing Peter Pan first, and then the rest of the FL rides? Pick up FP as available and use them later in the day? Hit Nemo during the parade? I thought I'd could try to piece a touring plan together on my own, but I'm feeling a bit insecure!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Ride max might be a good option for 3 adults, one day, split 3 ways.

But I'll offer opinions given your criteria (& by posting your criteria it makes it easier ):

- PP (always first)
But....I recommend that one of you split up to pick up a FPs at Indy or SM first & meet up....that person would miss PP & Dumbo.
- Dumbo
- Alice/Matterhorn (any order) bathroom next to Alice.
- Toadie/Teacups (any order)
- Carousel/Pinocchio/Snow White (any order)

(pull out of the rotation any that you don't want to ride.)

Should be ready to pick up another FP at this time.

There's the first hour. Next hour should be either:

- Left side of the park tour (Indy/Jungle Ride/Pirates/HM/Splash/Pooh) or
- Tomorrowland tour (Buzz/SM/Star Tours)....while picking up FPs as they become availble. You should be able to pickup 3-5 the first 3-4 hours.

Friday night might be crowded....save the FPs for evening touring.

By 11am-Noon:

- the park will be more crowded.
- the FPs dispersal will be stretched out to 2 hours.
- It might be nice to "Hop" to DCA for a few hours.

Hound's plan. Sounds great to me. Though I recommend finishing off (with the exception of FPs, which I would agree to save for evening) Tomorrowland/Fantasyland stuff before moving on to Adventureland/NOS/Frontierland/Critter Country.

Along with all of that, I suggest hoping for rain. That, combined with getting there for opening (since you're driving in, plan for delays in the parking and tram), should get you a good day.

Rain is okay with me! When I did a spur of the moment trip 3 years ago, it rained and it definitely keeps the crowds at bay! I looked like a soggy dog in all the pics, but heck... I'm not that vain so I'll take that over long lines any day!

One more question...I'll be dropping the car off over at Alamo in DTD. What's the best way to get to the gates? Walking? Something else?

I know where the storefront for Alamo is (towards Paradise Pier hotel beyond the AMC theater), but where will they have you park it? Do they have you park at the DTD lot, then walk over to Alamo?

I haven't parked in the DTD lot, but I did try to walk through the lot to get to Mickey and Friends parking structure (my brother's silly idea), and I think that either way, you'll just walk through DTD to get to the security (bag check) then on to the gates.

Do you have your tickets already?

Assuming you do, I supposed you *could* then jump onto the monorail, which would talk you right above Nemo, but then you'd have to fight your way back over to Peter Pan. Probably best to just get there early (is Alamo open that early?) so you can get in to Peter Pan!

I was just looking at my Alamo reservation and it the last line in the directions is "turn right into Grand California Parking lot." Do you think walking thru DTD is still the best way? They open at 7am.

As for tickets, I'll be buying convention priced one day tickets from our hotel so I should be good to go. I'm trying to figure out a way to do 2 days cheap since I'm on a limited budget, but I don't think it's happening... If I could only become a SoCal resident for that weekend and be able to do the 2fer deal!
