Touring Plans

Has anyone heard of or know of a service for this? It seems ridiculously overwhelming to try and make one myself, but I don't even want to try this for the first time without one.

Has anyone been for the first time and just winged it? We are only doing 3 or 4 park days, no AK, and we still have a little one (4) who won't be able to hang all day and night without a break.

I have directed first time Disney friends to his site/blog, and even printed out his cheat sheets and maps for them, to ensure they had a great time. Touring Plans is soooo much more information, too much. I recently subscribed to this for an upcoming December trip, and consider myself more of an expert, and am overwhelmed. I also question the crowd calendar estimations. Josh's (easywdw) seem far more on target.
