2 questions:

1) Is it worth the $ to buy a subscription to the touring plans site? We are going March 3-8.

2) I have an android smart phone. I am a newbie at using for anything besides texting/calling/e-mail/facebook. What are the best apps to use for wait times and other helpful info when we're in DLR?

Thank you so much! This board has been so helpful in my planning!:)

I have the subscription, and I like it. I'm a planner, so I like all the info and the ability to create custom touring plans. Mousesavers has a discount code. I don't remember what it is, but it would be easy enough to find.

I really like their app, though I haven't used it at the parks yet. I check it every once in a while and it seems to be updated all throughout the day. It has line wait times, menus for all the restaurants (quick, counter, and table), and other useful things. I also like Disney's Disneyland app pretty well. They have a trivia game you can play while waiting in line, just as an example.

Worth it depends on the person. If you are on a first trip to DLR then I think it is worth it to have a touring plan. Even if you do not use it.

On the other hand early March should not be very busy with crowds.

I really like TPs smartphone app for DLR called Lines. It comes with the subscription.

Thanks for the great info! It isn't our first trip to Disney, but we haven't been since May 2009. And yes, I am a planner type!;)

I always use Ridemax and think they do a good job with their touring plans. Just another option.:thumbsup2

The Disney Parks Mobile Magic is run by Disney itself. This means the wait times, dining info, character meet and greet times, etc are pulled directly from the parks systems so they're really accurate. They also have games to kill time in the lines.
One I'd avoid: MouseWait.....UNLESS you're just going to try to use the wait times and stuff like that. (Even then some users think it's funny to alter ride wait times or mark them closed) The lounge there is the reason I ditched that app over a year ago.

Personally, I still like using Mousewait. Then again, the only reason why I use it is for the wait times. Other than that, I would leave my cell phone alone and just soak up the atmosphere :)
