Hi everyone!

We're headed to WDW the first week of April (+ last 2 days of March) and I have been diligently planning our park days according to the Touring Plans crowd calendar. Well, today I stumbled upon Kenny the pirate's crowd calendar and it doesn't match! I can't help but think that KTP is right though because he has a park with morning EMH marked as worst park that day where touring plans doesn't and aren't those normally the worst park days?

It would be a simple switch I think since our ADR's aren't hard ones but I don't think I can get the frozen fastpass anymore. WWYD?

Anyone tested out both calendars and chosen a winner?

Sometimes...
When EMH is in the evening they are the absolute worst days, however in our family's experience, not that many people get up super early for am EMH, making that extra hour reeeeeally golden, as well as the regular am hours being better. The parks still don't get busy until 10:30 - 11:00 am, EMH notwithstanding...
Again that has been our experience and we generally go from around the 10th of December through the 20th. (Sometimes a little leeway on either end)
I have had excellent luck with TP, but also really like KtPs site. If you want to meet ANY characters at all, Kenny has the absolute best info!
I also really like Josh'S format on Easy WDW.
I usually check out what all 3 say, then configure my days based on the absolute best info I have from all three. Once I've made my park days plan, I rarely if ever change it and then figure my ADRs and FPs from there. I've never had a bad visit!
Have fun!

TP makes sure to recommend each park at least once a week because they know most people vacation in weeks and travel on weekends so if, for example, they didn't have a really "good" day to recommend Epcot in a given week they will pick the least bad day to make sure they have given Epcot as a recommendation for the week so people don't think well I can't go to Epcot there isn't a good day for it.

Ok so that one also puts Epcot at a no on April 1st. I don't know what to do because we have a fastpass for frozen at 4pm (earliest I could get) and they are of course all gone now. All I can think of is switch days and run to Frozen at rope drop or do EMH (which would be brutal to get up that early) and try to get it in in that hour and switch parks after lunch. Sigh. Pretty mad at myself for just going with one crowd calendar blindly!

Ok I bit the bullet and switched the days around. Dining was no issue but Frozen fasts is gone (4pm April 1st if anyone is looking! Snag it! :D) so we'll just run there at rope drop. Thanks for the tips everyone!

I wouldnt switch and give up FEA just because of crowd calendars. A point or two isn't going to make that big a difference. If you're going in the morning and have a good plan, you'll be fine. It's a prediction anyway and each of the calendars can get to completely wrong. You could end up with rain that day and the crowds would be totally unlike what any of them predict.

EDOT: oops, posted while you were posting. I hope you have a good trip.

The EasyWDW crowd calendars aren't released as early as crowd calendars on Kenny's or Touring Plans. It looks like October's crowd calendar won't be released until mid September, well after our ADR and FP dates, making it essentially useless in planning FP and ADRs.

The beauty of the EasyWDW crowd calendars is that he explains why the days are recommended or not recommended. Therefore you can use the logic from months prior and apply it to your future trip. Personally I take the average of all the sites recommendations for each day and look for patterns. For conflicting days, I tend to lean to EasyWDW's logic to make my decision.

If you actually compare Kenny the Pirate, Touring Plans, and Easy WDW together it's usually the same predictions, or at least not very far off from each other. Except that looking at EasyWDW's predictions for April, I see that he's got some info wrong as far as EMH. So my usual thought is that if they don't have the basic info correct, how can I rely on their predictions? Same goes for WDW Prep School who had the cheerleading competitions completely wrong on their calendar for a while.

I usually like to check all available calendars, but in the end I always find Touring Plans to be accurate. Not to mention that they are the only ones who list what the actual crowd levels were for past days and compare them to their predictions.

I use all 3 of the sites mentioned for different things. I like easyWDW's "cheat sheet" touring plans as a starting point for my own, Touring Plans software to plot out the timing of my touring plan, and Kenny for all the character meet & greet info. I think all of them agree, though, that using a good touring plan is more important than which park you visit on which day.
