We're looking at going to Disney the end of January/beginning of February or possibly end of February (basically picking the "slowest" week around that time frame). Should I subscribe to Touring Plans now? It doesn't have out the crowd calendar that far correct since the hours aren't announced? I know it's good for one year but is it from when you purchase it or calendar year so only good through the end of 2016?

I follow easywdw as well but think we'd like the wait times app Touring Plans has.

Thoughts?

Your subscription would be good for one year from purchase. I've been a subscriber for several years now, and mine always comes up at the end of December and when I renew, it's good through the next December.

I love Touring Plans! The app is great, I love to make personalized touring plans, I've used the dining reservation finder with great success, and I will be using the hotel fax request service for my upcoming trip in June.

Concur with Erin. It's a 1-year subscription, so no reason to wait.

I've been a satisfied TP subscriber for almost 10 years now, but if you find it's not for you they have a 45-day money-back guarantee.

I've been a subscriber for year now and it is so helpful with the pre-planning phase. I wouldn't go to WDW without it.

Thank you!!!

What is the hotel fax request service?
You can see the views from your category of room at your Disney resort and select which one you would like for them to request for you. They fax the request 5 days before your trip. It worked for us last fall and I plan to use it again this fall. I have been a subscriber for about a year now and will renew soon. Its a great site with a great app.

Awesome!

Can you request location then? Like near food court, top floor, etc?

TP provides an intricate room finding tool complete with pictures of the view from most locations. After you've found the location you prefer, you give them your reservation number and they'll fax the resort with your room request.

Yes you can add any notes you would like to your fax and I think it helps to add a little about why you prefer these things. (ex. I needed ground floor at POR because we had a double stroller and two toddlers I did not want to have to haul up stairs.)

No need to wait. Having the touring plans membership and "Lines" app for many months before my trip helped build excitement for me. I would compare multiple plans and name them. I would tweak as the time got closer, then delete the plans that didn't make the cut.

However, fair warning, I am a member of the Commando Club and I LOVE to plan.

Another question. Do I not put in a room request when I book my room with Disney and just let this fax request work it's magic??

As many times as we've been, I still subscribe for crowd calendar. Love the lines app, too.
Had a bit of a problem last time and they made it right.

I would do both but last time I only used TP and it worked. Just make sure your requests aren't contridictory. (Like two diff buildings)

Is this new? I had buddy before it shut down but it's nice they have this now. How is this allowed?
I don't know the logistics behind it. You put in the ADR you are looking for and it checks like hourly and if it finds something it will email or text you to let you know. I actually heard about it on these boards

I believe they've had it for a while even though it says it's "in testing", somehow it made the cut when Disney was shutting the other sites down. It's come in very handy for me recently.

Weird! I had touring plans for our last trip in November and had no idea they had this. I did use scout though to snag what I needed since I booked only about 100 days out. Hope to not really need anything like that this next time but might for tweeks! Glad it's an option!

Our trip is next April, even though there aren't park hours the Crowd Calendar populates 365 days in advance
