A site that warns guests away from MK because of the Super Bowl MVP "parade"
makes it a site at which I'd wonder about the correctness of rest of the recommendations.

While TP is not always right, they've certainly established their credibility over the years. The article in question isn't worded ideally, in that normally TP makes clear that the parade creates a few logistical headaches for those around Main Street around the time of the parade.
Fred knows the situation well enough that his intent isn't to imply that MK will have bad crowds that day. (TP elsewhere predicts no spike in wait times that day for the MK relative to other days that week.)
