Touring Plans room request

Just remember, now they make the request 30 days before your check in date, as Disney told them that would be better. They still will request it after, but the first request is 30 days before

I do have a question though. So I never did the online check it yet for my upcoming trip. I assume you can make requests on that correct?

Since I am using touring plans, do I just let touring plans take care of it or will me making my own requests override that?

I am afraid to do anything on my end now cause I am using touring plans for the request lol

I had great success on my trip from earlier this month. It was a 4 resort split stay, but I only made 2 requests. I switched from AOA to Pop within 30 days of arrival and didn’t submit a new request and then had a rented DVC reservation where I didn’t even bother. But then I went 2 for 2: at CR Garden Wing, I got the room next to the one that I requested and at CBR, I was about 3 rooms away (and actually got a better room because it was a corner). I always add a note about why I chose that room (“higher floor with a view of the lake”, “close to the Skyliner“, etc”) and have almost always been accommodated.

Off to Neverland, I never put any requests in MDE when I check in. I just let the TP request take care of it.

You can do online check in but leave the request section blank. That section would override any other requests.

My sister just tried it. She wanted Jamaica 41 which is the closest to the main skyliner. She got Aruba 56. She was so disappointed at first, but then it ended up being wonderful. They were literally right beside the Riviera skyliner and they walked to the Rivera for QS meals which are so much better than CBR. So, she didn’t get what she requested, but she got something better! I will be there in a week, so I will see if I get my requests. I have heard it is harder right now to get your request because they are short staffed for cleaning and it takes longer for rooms to be ready.

We had very similar situation for CBR in March. We wanted building 45 and ended up in building 54. It was way too far from the CBR Old Port Royal and food options and at first we were disappointed. Then realized how much better it was to use food options, buses and skyliner at Riviera!! If we ever stay there again... it would have to be right next to Riviera or we'd ask to switch resorts!
We've used Touring Plans a few times for room requests and have never gotten even the same building requested. Actually ended up in a whole different area every time.

We've never stayed at CBR, but if we did, would totally want to be near Riviera! DD14 has made a QS request for Primo Piatto on our next trip.

I'll report back next month if we get our TP room request, or anything close to it at CSR.
