Touring Plans Reservation Finder - Party of 9 - I'm a believer

True confessions, we are a party of 9, not visiting until June 2018, but since we're paranoid about not getting to eat dinner at BOG with a party of that size, I've been experimenting with the Touring Plans reservation finder.

I picked January 10, 2018, also a Monday, as an experiment. So, I looked for a reservation exactly 180 days out, on July 14, 2017, and had no luck. I went ahead and loaded my info into the reservation finder to begin my experiment.

Sure enough, today, 9/13/17, roughly two months after my initial request, the finder send me a text to say they found the reservation, and the link took me directly to BOG on Disney Dining, to a page that already had my party of 9 loaded, and was waiting for me to click Next for payment method.

Sure, I know June will be more crowded than the 2nd week of January, but this is at least encouraging. I won't be near as disappointed now if I don't get what I want at 180 days.

Have any of the rest had "true" success with the finder?

Yes- every time I've used them (maybe five or six times) they found a reservation. I haven't been quick enough to secure it a couple of times, but I then re-submit it and they found it again. I'm a believer!

I've been trying for months for a party of seven with no luck at all. I imagine January is easier to get than December.

I haven't had much luck.

We're 5 people, going Thanksgiving week. My ADR day was late April and I had no luck getting'Ohana for any part of our trip.

I put in a search on TP, but since then, I've only got one alert, just recently. It came in early, when I actually was ON my phone, and it was still gone by the time I got to MDE.

4 months of searching hasn't resulted in much....although I realize I'm going at a busy time.

The reservation finder found me a 6:30 BoG this past July for a party of 4 on the night that I wanted. My daughter was so happy!

It found one for me for BoG. Spurs will open up around the 60 day mark.

They found a Ohana dinner res for 7 for us. We grabbed it! So happy!

Keep trying, it's doable. RestaurantFinder located a large party dinner reservation @ BOG for the 29th of December in the early evening for me. Wasn't able to grab it but I figure if with patience I wait it'll return.

Once you get an alert, it stops searching. So if you miss it, you need to start the search again! Just FYI

I just got Akershus for 1.5 weeks from now using the ADR finder.

People's plans change all the time.
While it may be a different crowd level from when we went (last 2 weeks of August), only 4 in our group and for lunch, I used the ADR finder several times during the trip to book additional reservations for BOG. Sometimes with only a few days notice.
You need to be quick as soon as you receive the alert.
