Hi i was wondering if anyone had any advice for this service. We used it in 2015 for a trip and it worked really well. We have another trip for June 2025 so i subscribed again and am so lost. What i really wanted it for was help with making lightning lane reservations, which ones to make and what times to shoot for. It seems like after the first 3 selections it just kind of stops suggesting LL and goes to all standby. Also the app seems to be really messed up. I have an Android and every time i hit optimize on one of the plans i have made it never works. It just says optimizing and sits there forever. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, forece closed etc but no luck. So far the last optimikze has been running for 30 minutes. Is that normal. Also there is supposed to be some place you can mark each step as complete in the app as you do it but i dont see that either. I dont want to cancel but it seems like without the app it would be pretty useless as there is no way to update your day in the park as it happens. Any help would be appreciated. I felt like this service helped us so much last time and now its just causing frustration.
Thanks!
Kristin

Oooh...I would also like to know the answer to the "optimize" issue, @lentesta! My Lines app does the same thing (just stays in "optimize" mode whenever that option is selected).

Oh, send me an email, please: len at touringplans. We're trying to figure out if there's a pattern here.

Also, let me know if there's any trip-planning stuff I can help with too! Thank you!

I noticed this behavior when I was using both the web and the app. When started using just the web it worked better. Unfortunately, it's been a couple months now so I don't remember specific details.

Is the Lines app free when you buy the Unofficial Guide? This might be cutting it too close, we are going in September and Amazon says the 2026 Guide won't be released until Aug 16, I hope I get it in time to do some last minute planning. Have used this guide for years and loved it, but the reviews say to wait for the 2026 since 2025 has only Genie*. It used to be that if you bought the book, you got a subscription to the app, does anyone know if that is still the case? Thank you!

I believe you just get a discount on the subscription when you buy the book. When signing up for the service, it will ask if you bought the book then ask you a few questions that you need to find in the book to answer.

I haven't bought the book in years but I have continued to use the app or even just the trip builder on the web (which you can do without subscription) love TouringPlans and all their info! the ticket price compare-er is awesome.
