I can find tons of info on how to "do it all with minimal waits etc etc etc" for WDW but I can't find much on US/IoA. We will be staying at WDW and doing 4 days at WDW parks and then spend our last two days at the Universal parks. I've only been once for a day. I do remember loooooong lines for Spidey and MIB. What are the other popular rides? Does the usual - be there when the park opens - work best? Is the additional $15 for the express pass worth it? We will be there Feb 21 and 22 - yes that's Presidents Day.

Are two days enough time to take in most of the attractions? We really enjoyed our last trip. I think DH and DS probably liked US more than WDW.

Absolutely get the express pass for that time! If you are not staying onsite then get the pass - little or no wait times and it's probably the only way to get to ride lots of attractions. The Mummy usually has long wait times. Back to the Future sometimes does and the Hulk. I guess it really depends on the day.
Example: Spidy regular line wait time = 90 minutes
express = 10-15 tops

Actually, I'm looking at my calendar, and Presidents Day is Monday February 20th. If you are really going the 21st and 22nd, that would be Tuesday and Wednesday.

I don't remember the parks being crowded last year from reading the messages on this board. While Presidents Day is a school holiday, most companies still work (including mine).

Still, if you get the express booklets, you could use them in the afternoon to skip any lines. Crowds are usually light early in the morning, then build in the afternoon.

If you arrive the parking garage at 8am, and get to the gate first, you can take a lap of walk on rides and you wouldn't need the booklets. So yes, the "be there first" thing does work.
