Touring plans evaluate not cooperating

I have 9:10 FP for FOP. My intention is to rope drop and ride standby first then use FP. Touring Plan keeps putting my FP first then having me stand in line 2 hours. How do I make the program do what I want? The advanced feature does not fix the problem.

That is one problem I haven't been able to work around. It does that all the time and I have not been able to figure out how to trick it into doing it the other way. I once emailed Len about it. He said he'd look at it but that was last year.

You have to kind of create the work around yourself. What I do is I put the FP in first. Note the time both waiting and riding and add five minutes. Then I drop the fast pass. Right after the time ends for getting off, I put in a break the duration of what was showing for waiting and riding with the FP (with the extra 5 min cushion). Put in the note ride again with FP and that way I have a plan that works for me.

Tell it you have two FP for FOP. That should fix it.

If you change your FP time to be outside the 'early arrival' time, I think it should assign the FP to the second iteration. Since you're evaluating, not optimizing, it won't matter that you're fudging it. You could also put in a 'rest' for the first FOP, if you know how long it will take. That wouldn't be my first solution, though.

If you are going to rd it first, then why even add it if the software isn't playing nice? Estimate your arriving at the fp queue, make the fp step number one and go from there. If you optimize and the software think you should do other stuff 1st, then move fop back to #1, and evaluate.

When using "evaluate" in the morning for consecutive rides, one of which has a FP, the software tries to figure out which ride would be the best use of the FP. I can take a look at the plan if you like: len at touringplans dot com.

I find if I just alter the FP by five or ten minutes, it will usually fix this issue.

You might also want to be sure to select the following in the advanced options section for FP+.

Force "Optimize" to use all of your FastPass+ reservations, even if that increases wait times.
